The Suddenly Slim plan is an herb-based weight loss plan that offers a fast method to shed pounds using energy boosting shakes, diet pills, and nutritional supplements. This plan claims that in ten days, it can boost the metabolism to make the body burn calories and shed excess weight without altering diet or exercise routines.

The diet aids used in this diet plan have many herbal extracts often found in herbal-based diet products. The diet claims that the herbal extracts work by reducing the appetite, increasing energy levels and rate of metabolism, and purifying the body in a detoxification process.

The diet lasts for only ten days, in which time the dieter consumes meal replacement shakes and takes diet pills. The shakes are supposed to fulfill and eliminate hunger and provide the body with crucial nutrition. The diet pills and supplements contain ingredients such as green tea, soy protein, and caffeine to promote health and losing weight.

Before taking any diet supplement or weight loss drug, it is a good idea to ask your doctor about the safety of the diet and whether it is the best option for you. Many herbal ingredients may have positive health effects, but as with any drug, there are health risks involved. Most of the foods eaten on the Zone program include lean cuts of meat, such as chicken or fish and other healthy sources of protein, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and a limited amount of carbohydrates. Breads, potatoes, rice, sugar, and cereals are the types of carbohydrate heavy foods that dieters should avoid eating, but can enjoy once in awhile. Dieters must also avoid processed foods and food with a high sodium content.

Physical health is another fundamental aspect of the Zone diet. The plan recommends moderate intensity physical exercise for thirty minutes every day, six days each week. Physical activity is supposed to increase the effectiveness of the Zone program. Other enhancements to the diet include taking vitamins and nutritional supplements.

The Zone plan works well for many dieters, but it takes a lot of dedication. The reason why this diet and most other diet programs fail is because many dieters give up before they are able to see results.
