Bill Niemi has been a driving force and an inspiration in every aspect of his life. Bill Niemi has positively influenced family, friends, business, and the community.
William Niemi was born in Detroit, Michigan in the early 50s. Bill's first interest was architecture, but being a man who pays attention to detail; he investigated his chosen field for the potential for personal and economic success, and decided to, ?rethink my options?. He attended University of Michigan where he explored several areas of focus. Accounting seemed like a career that would give him exposure to other types of businesses. Once again, Bill was fine tuning his interests. He earned an accounting degree in 1976. During this time he worked as an intern at Price Waterhouse. Here, Bill spent 2 ? years as a company auditor. He continued on with Price Waterhouse in a rewarding career as a CPA, helping business and making important connections, both personal and business.
One important connection for William began with a blind date where he met Beth, who later became his wife. The couple was married in Lake Tahoe and moved to the Granite Bay, California to continue his career with Price Waterhouse, establish roots and start a family.
The second important connection was a real estate client. Bill found he was intrigued by the real estate development process. In 1982, Bill joined his client's company and for 6 years learned about turnaround management, helping companies with financial problems and getting them he says, ?On the right track?. In 1986, William Niemi started his own turnaround consulting company. While rewarding, it was very stressful and listening to his instincts, Bill knew it was time to start anew.
Niemi joined a development company that dominated the Sacramento housing market for many years. It was through these connections that Bill was elected president of the Building Industry Association of Superior California. Once again, with attention to the details of the industry and to the community, Bill set himself apart as a leader and a mentor to members of this Association. He was a driving influence in establishing BIA's Home Aid Sacramento, a philanthropic organization that coordinates the skills of the building industry with the needs of the community. In this capacity, Bill served as Executive Committee Chairman in 2004 and was presented the Meritorious Award for showing extraordinary commitment.
In 2005, William Niemi began the Wm. Niemi Companies which is focused on a new development in Southern Sacramento County. As the BIA says, William Niemi ?is an extraordinary individual and the industry is lucky to have such a dedicated advocate?
There are a number of schools, training centres and institutes around that offer good quality electrician training courses. Taking part in the training courses available will provide you with a good education and will also help you to begin a career as an electrician when the course has been completed.
Going to a school or institute is not the only way you can become an electrician however. Other ways of obtaining the appropriate qualifications include doing online certification courses, or taking part in military training programs, Government sponsored programs or sponsored training centres.
Whichever route you decide to take to become an electrician, you will need to learn the complexities of working with all electrical products and equipment. This ranges from the installation of wires, to the maintenance of appliances.
Once you have become a qualified electrician there are a number of pathways that you can take as there are a variety of different types of electricians. This needs to be decided before you choose the training program that you are going to take part in as the school that provides it needs to cater for your particular interest and provide the appropriate training for your chosen career.
For example if you are interested in becoming an electrical contractor you will need to learn the skills that are involved in home repairs or commercial maintenance. For this job you will only need a broad knowledge of how electricity is used in the home and how to repair it if it goes wrong and not how to perform highly specialized skills. Some schools will educate you on how to run your own business along with the training needed to become an electrician so when the course is completed you will be able to start up your own company.
This is only the recommendation if you know what you want to do with your qualification. If you are unsure of what path you would like to go down once you have become a fully trained electrician then you should choose a school or institution that offers a broad range of subjects and will enable you to gain experience in all areas. If this is the way you choose to train, not only may you find the type of electrician you would like to become, you will also have a variety of job opportunities available to you when you have completed the course.
Jobs that will be available to you when you have gained your qualification include working in construction, working as a maintenance technician, working in a factory or with electrical motors, among many many more. You will be able to enter into these jobs at entry level position as an apprentice or electrician and you will have all the skills required to carry out the job.
The most important point is to choose the right school and course for you that will train you in the area/s that you require training in. This will enable you to get to work immediately on completion of the course and start you career as an electrician.
