Barbados also offers tourist many festivals and events through out the year. One of the larges festivals is the Crop-Over Festival, which dates back to colonial times during the sugar cane harvest. The Crop-Over festivl starts in July and last for several weeks. The Holetown Festival, which starts during February, celebrates the first English settlers to the colony in 1627.
Other festivals and events include the Oistins Fish Festival during Easter and the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts that takes place in November.
