Advanced Methods For Affiliate Marketing Success
by Scott Fromherz, Sco
This article is for those who already know about affiliate marketing, but have yet to see large returns. The truth is, you can make a lot of money from affiliate marketing. But if you don't know exactly how, you can lose a lot of money as well. They key to successful affiliate marketing really comes down to three basic principles: choose the right product, bring customers to that product, sell the product.

These three steps may seem simple, but you could lose a lot of money if you are not doing them in the right way. Here is a quick explanation of the RIGHT WAY to do them:

1) Choose The Right Product - I have just one thing to say about this: Sell informational products! E-books and software have the highest markup which allows you to gain maximal commissions. There is no shipping and they are instantly downloadable. Trying to sell REAL products, like gardening tools or wedding gifts, is very difficult. You could spend hundreds of dollars in advertising to make one sale of a $50 item, but only make a 2% commission on it resulting in a measly $1. But with a ebooks the allowable commissions are usually 50, 60, even 75%! With 75% commission on a $50 ebook sale, you make $37.50 - much better than that measly $1. I can't stress this enough - SELL INFORMATIONAL PRODUCTS.

2) Bring Customers To That Product - This is by far the hardest part of affiliate marketing. Sure, you can go to Google Adwords, and with a little work you can have tons of targeted traffic to your site - but at what price! My ad campaigns usually range from $10 to $90 per day on Adwords. Unless your site is really selling your product well, you could lose a lot of money fast. Fortunately, there is a free marketing tool that can create tons of targeted traffic without spending a dime: article marketing. Basically, you write an article about the product you are selling, post it to an article site, and presto...people that read your article, go to your site. It is targeted marketing, without having to pay for the clicks. Use article marketing to reduce your overhead and maximize your profits.

3) Sell The Product - There is really only one way to sell a product effectively - Copywriting. Copywriting is using words to sell a product. Everything from your site's headline to its testimonials is a part of the copywriting process. You could have a great product, but if people aren't enticed by your sales page to buy, it will never sell. Whereas, you could have an "okay" product, and if your copy really touts it right, you could have more money than you know what to do with. Learn about copywriting and you write your own paycheck.

So that's it. It's simple. Choose informational products, market them with article marketing, and sell them using effective copywriting techniques. Good luck. I hope you make tons of money online!
