Incidents of teen lying occur when your teen wants to hide something from you. Therefore, develop a casual atmosphere at home. Allow your teen sufficient space and be ready to give enough time to listen to their problems or difficulties. An open discussion giving due importance to moral and ethical values can dissuade your teen from resorting to any lies.

Always keep an eye on the peer group of your teen and counsel your teen against their growing influence in the initial stages itself.
