A body massage is a good means of relaxing and is a natural remedy that can help alleviate sore necks, provide relief from sleeplessness and ease tension. Circular movements along each foot followed by stroking and rubbing of the ankle is all that is required to restore the lower limbs back to a relaxed and healthy state.

Stroking the whole hand as well as giving gentle squeezes is especially helpful, and the best form of hand massage is to gently move the entire hand in a rotational movement.

The abdomen is also a part of the body for which a body massage is necessary as it helps to improve digestion and also stimulates weight loss. Kneading the stomach area at the waist from side to side and kneading both sides will provide all the advantages that can be obtained in improving the general well being of the person.

The bottom line is that a good body massage will go a long way in relieving stress and stiffness as well as provide a sense of relaxation and general well being. Each day the body is subjected to severe stress and strain, and if it were not for a body massage, one would have difficulty in coping with these inconveniences day in and day out.

Swedish massage In the Swedish massage, the massage oil is applied to the body and the therapist uses kneading, circular movements in combination with long, smooth strokes to relax the body. Basic strokes like effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, compression and vibration are used in this type of massage. Superficial layers of muscle are targeted.

Sports massage
Sports massage is for athletes and sports people and benefiting them a lot. The rapid strokes in combination with stretching techniques loosen muscles and increase flexibility as result enhancing the performance of the athlete and injuries are prevented or avoided.

Aromatherapy massage As any other massage, Aromatherapy massage therapy uses essential oils. Essential oils are scented plant oils and each essential oil has different effects on the body. For example, rosemary oil is cleanses and energizes, for calming chamomile, lavender and geranium are used. Essential oils are both inhaled and absorbed through the skin and affects blood pressure, breathing, memory, digestion and stress levels. For this reason, aromatherapy massages are very much useful while dealing with emotional problems and stress-related conditions.

Hot stone massage In the hot stone massage, hot smooth stones coated in oil made of basalt are placed on certain points on the body, including the back, the palms of the hands or in between the toes. The therapist may apply pressure with the stones, which as a result emits warmth, loosens tight muscles, and helps in improving blood circulation.

Body benefits the body in lot of ways, it unwinds your mind and gives you a very soothed and relaxed feeling hence improving on sleep, it also eases stiff and tired joints. It also benefits skin, nourishes it giving you a glowing skin and complexion.
