When this happens then a Keshi pearl is created.

Keshi pearls are becoming very rare as pearl farmers are now x-raying the oysters to see if they have a nucleus or not. The reason they do this is because the oyster only has a certain amount of nacre and they would rather they waste it making a proper pearl instead of an irregular one.

Keshi pearls have earned their place in the world of pearl jewelry.
