You are walking down the store aisle trying to find a gift for the guy who rubs your hair every time he sees you, no matter your age. He is elderly and when you visit and talk to grandma, he sits in the living room reading the paper. So what do you buy him? You want to make sure you get the right gift.

Look into your grandfather's past and maybe try and reunite him with a friend he has lost touch with, or maybe put together a special scrapbook that portrays his parents, brothers, sisters and early years in school and elsewhere.

Grandfathers often like to read, so find him a book he wants to read or find a special rare copy of his favorite novel. He won't read it but it may become a prized piece of his library.

Generally try and avoid any gadgets or devices that your grandfather has no use for. That will do nothing but waste your money.

Buying for grandparents can be difficult, but if you take the time to really think about it and do some searching, you can get a gift that will make him very happy. Go the extra mile and put everything you have into finding it, it would definitely be worth it.
