[B735]Blink 182 Anthem Part Two Lyrics
by Russ Sutton, Rus
This is the second part of a series of articles written to assist you with achieving your goals. In the previous article, I laid the foundation for goal setting. There are a few simple exercises and steps that will help you determine what your goals actually are. Remember, when you envision your goals, it is vital you see them as if they are already met. You can rest comfortably and picture yourself as driving that new car, walking on the beach with your new partner or riding in a gondola on the watery streets of Florence. I will publish more on the art of visualization soon. To further assist you with your goals, it is important to involve all of your senses. By this I mean the more ways you can experience your goals as already being achieved, the more likely you are to reach them. Here are a few tips I have found to be very helpful:

First, write your goals down. We discussed this in a previous article. Write them as if you have already recieved them, EX: "I am very grateful I Have My Palimino Horse. Her name is Smoky and I ride her every day through the pasture and down to the creek. When we get back to the stable, I brush her down and give her some oats for her companionship and for her keeping me safe. This or something even better is now manifesting for me." After you have reviewed this goal, sit quietly and visualize all that you have just said. With closed eyes, see yourself riding that horse through the pasture. Hear and feel the wind in your hair, the bounce of the horse beneath you, the warmth of the sun on your skin, the sound of her hooves on the road. I will discuss the art of visualization fully in the next installment.

Great! Now, to better assist you in reaching your goal, cut out and paste some pictures of what your horse will look like. Images of you with your horse. Images with the likeness of you feeding, grooming and riding her. You can find pictures of these events on line. Simply download them and print them off. If you can draw, draw them. The point is to have a visual representation of your goals. This vision board, or whatever you would like to call it, should then be placed so you can see it many times during the day. You may create more than one. Have one at your desk and one in your office at home. Or on the refrigerator. It is very important you visit this frequently. The last thing, before your retire for bed at night, review your goals. You can involve your other senses as well. Depending on what your goal is, you may test drive the car you are going to get, smell the leather, run your hand along the polished surface. Record the sound of the engine as it is starting and running so you can listen to this at another time. The point is to take in all of the sensory attributes you can and review them often during the day. The last method I have found to be greatly helpful with attaining my goals is to record your voice and listen to it as you drift off to sleep at night. Review your goals, as if you have already achieved them, several times over on the recording. Use a calm voice, speaking with feeling, as this is the last thing you will hear as you fall asleep. Your mind responds differently when hearing your own voice. You will place this information in your subconscious mind much more quickly if it is your own voice. Your mind will respond better with your own voice than if hearing anyone else. Remember to always put a timeline to your goals. This is of supreme importance. It may also be important to work on only a few, priority, goals at a time. This way you will be better able to clearly understand what it is you are seeking. Fewer, very clear goals, are easier to achieve. I review, once you have determined what your goals are, there are several ways to assist you in achieveing them. Use all of your senses. Make a visualization board, recordings of sound, a piece of leather upholstery to smell and touch. Involving all of your senses will better impact your subconscious mind. Also, record your voice reviewing goals and listen to them when you are in a relaxed state. The best time for this is at night just before sleep or in the morning as you awaken. Any time you are able to relax and close your eyes is a great time for this exercise. My next article in this series is on visualization. The importance of visualizing your goals and some simple exercises in achieveing this. I wish only that this information is helpful to you and I am grateful to share. Be well and blessed.
