One of the most ironical things about food is that the stuff that is the most delicious to eat is the most sinful one for your body. The paradox has really made life hell for those who enjoy their food and would like to eat a sumptuous meal. Many people are now looking towards healthier alternatives because of the fact that their health does not permit them to have the yummy Sunday lunch that they have always relished.

One such so called unhealthy sinful foods is coffee. All of us Americans have been having coffee ever since we can remember. It seems to be in our blood and to such an extent that we have rituals around it in our daily schedule. Some of us want our coffee early in the morning and some of us have to have that cup of coffee after lunch.

There are so many different ways of making coffee and different people prefer it differently. Some like it hot and some like it cold. Preferences range from who milk to skimmed milk, with or without sugar or flavored with vanilla syrup or hazelnut. The fact remains that we like our coffee and we like in a certain way.

The effect that missing such the ritualistic cup can have on our system can be devastating. Some people cannot begin their day without having that special cup that they look for. Some need to have that afternoon coffee to keep them going after lunch. And some need that nightcap before they finally retire for the day.

It is not that people know that too much coffee is not bad. It is. It is not just the whole milk, sugar and syrups that add to the unhealthy aspect but also the coffee itself. You may be using the best coffee beans from around the world but it has caffeine and too much is bad for any human being.

And if you have been hearing about the latest fad about the coffee diet, then please make sure that the diet does not consist of coffee alone. Because if the promoters of the diet are recommending that you kill all appetite by drinking only coffee, they are obviously doing a great disservice to mankind. There are some rumors about the fact that this diet consists of some coffee beans that actually help you loose weight and slime down. This does seem to be some kind of a miracle that some frauds are promoting because they want to cash in on the weight loss trend.
