[C1323]Cure For Yeast Infection
by Muna wa Wanjiru, Mun

Cure for yeast infection is very much available and all you have to do is to choose from many cures that are around. Firstly, you need to get your hands on the information that pertain to the cures. The internet is a good place to start and you can also visit your local hospital and have an expert lay the facts on the table for you. If you think you have yeast infection, be totally sure to avoid wrong medication. A doctor can help you determine for sure whether you are suffering from this condition or not. Firstly, let me begin by mentioning the home made cures for yeast infections. For a long time, tea tree oil has been used effectively by many people.

It has very effective anti fungal properties and for women with vaginal yeast infection, this will certainly work. It is usually very easy to insert the medication with a tampon. You need to pour several drops of tea tree oil on the tampon then insert it and do this for several days until the problem is over. Garlic is an undisputed cure for yeast infection and you need to make a paste of garlic then apply it to the affected area in the body. For vaginitis, which is the yeast infection in the vagina, apply the paste around the vagina and you can use a cheesecloth or something that is similar to it to apply the paste then, insert it inside and stay for around 30 minutes. Garlic will obviously have a burning sensation but, bear with the cure.

Yogurt is always a favorite cure for yeast infection and by eating it in plenty, you can cure fungus. Buttermilk can also be taken regularly to ensure that you are healthy. Yogurt is even more effective when applied directly to the affected area which might be in the vagina. Deeping a tampon or a cloth in yogurt then inserting it will do the job effectively. This is referred to as douching. This is best done at night and very early in the morning. Although a very sticky cure for yeast infection, honey has been found to work amazingly and the same way you douche the other cures, you will also do the same and after 20 minutes, you can wash your body with warm water and dry yourself thoroughly.

Another cure for yeast infection is vinegar and you can use one cup of any vinegar in your bath water and wash yourself well concentrating on the affected areas. After you are done, clean yourself with super absorbent paper and you will soon see the difference. Do this several times a week. Since prevention is better than cure, there are things that you can do to ensure that you do not contact the infection in the first place. Some of the simple things are avoiding too tight jeans or panties, wearing cloths made out of natural fiber and avoiding synthetics. If you have wet cloths, change as soon as possible to dry ones. Make sure you dry yourself thoroughly. All this is simply because yeast love wet and warm surfaces.

This can be cleared up speedily if the yeast infection is also cleared up. Unlike the old school of thought douches are not needed to get rid of vaginal odor. And although douches have been known to cause many a problem of the vagina there are still quite a few women who use them to get rid of vaginal odor.

In actual fact the vagina needs no such help. The only time that there will be a strong unpleasant vaginal odor is when there is a medical condition such as a yeast infection, or in some cases when a woman is menstruating.

And even in this last case the odor is not necessarily a vaginal odor, but is instead is the odor of dried blood and the discarded byproduct from the ovaries. The vagina itself normally holds a musky odor that is unique to every woman.

Many people aren't aware of this, or refuse to believe this, but the vagina is self cleaning organ and needs no outside help.

By using such things as industrial douches, scented feminine hygiene products, and vaginal deodorant sprays to ensure of the elimination vaginal odor, you are in fact destroying the delicate balance of the vagina.

Douches for instance will rid you of any perceived vaginal odor, and flush out anything and everything that's residing in the vagina including the good bacteria which is needed to keep the vagina in balance. This is why douching on a regular basis is bad for you.

The use of scented feminine hygiene products like scented pads, panty liners and tampons, although might seem harmless, in the long run it can be quite detrimental. Since these products all stay in intimate contact with your vagina there can be a buildup of infection causing bacteria which can also lead to an imbalance.

This is especially true of tampons. If tampons are left in the vagina long periods of time during menstruation, the accumulation of blood left to ferment in the humidity of the vagina can lead to Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), as a result of certain types of bacteria forming.

The purpose of the scented tampon "to mask the unpleasant vaginal odor" is also lost if the tampon is left for long periods of time. Vaginal deodorants will also only work for a short period of time at masking vaginal odor. In the long run these deodorants will destroy the vaginal balance creating even more problems.

The moral of the story then, is that although you might believe that you have a vaginal odor, this is not necessarily of which vaginal odor is a symptom. A woman's natural vaginal odor can be pleasant and musky, and not at all revolting as you might be led to believe.
