Most of the people consider that living in Romania is difficult, because this is a country, whose people suffered a lot, especially during the communism, and now they try hard to catch up with the other developed countries of the world. However, nowadays living in Romania seems to be easier than in the past.

A typical day in the life of Romanians is closely related to work activities. In general, they are very busy and they only wake up under the shower, in the morning... They usually start their workday at 7 a.m. and finish it at 3 p.m.

Family is very important for them, though and there still are traditional families in which meal times can be respected, especially in the case of families, which set up home businesses.

Romanian economy is developing because of economic reforms. The main industries in Romania are textile and footwear one, metallurgic industry; light machines industry and machines parts assembling. Furthermore, in Romania there are mines and wood engineering factories. They also produce construction materials, chemical products, food and they refine oil.
Other developing sectors in Romania are medicine industry, heavy machines one and home appliances industry. Nowadays, cars industry is developing too, as well as IT industry.

Most of the Romanians are hospitable and flexible, and they consider that living in Romania has improved a lot in the last 17 years. As far as their work is concerned, they usually have their rhythm, which seems quite slow to people like French, for example.

To continue, the nice aspect related to living in Romania is that Romanians do not obey to strict rules, like Germans, they do not always know what the next step is in their activity. Romanians are ambitious and yet some of them are not quite so disciplined.

In Romania, people enjoy free time at the weekend and during public holidays. However, free time is shorter nowadays because people feel more tired, they are busier and lonelier. Actually, this is the definition of living in Romania and in Europe or anywhere in the world at the beginning of the 21st century.

Romanians tend to find the balance between career and family, to manage stress and to improve their work every day. Most of them believe that happiness is not a result, but a way of living. They are happy when they wake up and they are healthy and thank God for it.
