[C1060]Corioliss Pro Flat Iron
by Robin Obrien, Rob
Straightening hair just keeps getting easier. Years ago, we had to try and straighten our hair using flat irons with metal plates, and then technology came along to make straightening hair easier and quicker. Next, our flat irons came out in bright colors and ever sleeker designs to make it fun. Has Corioliss combined both technology and design and taken it one step further with the release of the Linea-Pro C2 flat iron?

Remember the old day's girls when we struggled to straighten our hair using flat irons with metal plates? The flat iron was heavy; was either too cold or burnt your hair to a crisp; the plates weren't smooth so your hair constantly got snagged; and the whole exercise took all night.

Then, someone - I thank them from the bottom of my heart - discovered that the plates of the flat iron would be better made out of ceramic rather than metal. Not only is ceramic a lot smoother than metal, so your hair doesn't get snagged, it emits something called 'negative ions'. Now, these little babies help to close the cuticle layer as you use the flat iron, to create a smooth, silky hair surface and seal in the hair's natural moisture. Suddenly, straightening hair took less time, was a lot easier and, we could all look like Jennifer Aniston - at least in the hair department. Corioliss were amongst the first to make flat irons made using ceramic. In fact the company went one stage further than most; instead of just making the plates with ceramic, Corioliss made the entire flat iron using it. The Corioliss Professional 1" flat iron became a best seller.

But, you can never have too many 'negative ions', and it didn't take long before someone coated the ceramic plate with something called Tourmaline, which helps to emit up to six times more 'negative ions' - hair straightening heaven. T3 flat irons led the way - T3 Duality series is a great styling tool.

Well, after that burst of technology everyone started to take a closer look at how the flat iron looked. We ended up with sleeker models in many colors.

But, just when technical and design enhancement seemed to have a come to a stop, Corioliss launch their range of Linea-Pro C2 flat irons.

First let's talk about the technology - it's pretty cool what they can do these days.

The Linea-Pro C2 uses pure titanium plates so that 'negative ions' can be produced in abundance. In fact, C2 by Corioliss produces 30% more of them than any other flat iron using ceramic. And, if getting an abundance of 'negative ions' wasn't enough, Corioliss have employed the latest nano-technology to destroy 99.9% of bacteria while styling! I know, I know, you've already washed your hair but there's always some dirt and bacteria left lying around; the more bacteria and dirt your hair has, the harder it is to straighten and it won't last as long.

Corioliss have wrapped all this technology up into a beautiful, sleek styling tool. The C2 flat iron really is different. Some of the colors available are; gold, silver; black; Zebra and Red Leopard (my favorite). There's also a limited edition C2 'Black Skull'.

You also get a funky, belt-clipping, digital remote control with adjustable temperature settings. One word of warning; the belt-clipping arrangement could have been designed a little better in my opinion, but still a marvelous idea to keep the controls away from the appliance itself.

There's no doubt about it; the Linea-Pro C2 flat iron by Corioliss is a star and is setting the benchmark. Other manufacturers are now producing flat irons with titanium plates - Bellissima and Hoot Tools to name but two - but in my opinion, none can yet match the C2 flat iron in terms of function and form.
