[D16]Dancing With The Stars Professionals

Fans will no longer have to wait as Dancing with the Stars returns for another season filled with new celebrities battling it out on the dance floor for season 5 of the highly anticipated competition. ABC recently announced that the fifth season will start with a bang as it showcases three episodes in three consecutive nights, beginning with a 90-minute performance episode on Monday, September 24 at 8pm ET/PT.

Following Monday's debut, Dancing with the Stars will air on Tuesday, September 25 at 8pm ET/PT and on the following night, ABC will conclude season five's premiere week with a special one-hour results show on Wednesday, September 26 at 8pm ET/PT.

Dancing with the Stars returns to its regular time slot the following week, with 90-minute performance episodes shown every Monday at 8pm ET/PT, beginning October 1, and one-hour results show airing on Tuesdays at 9pm ET/PT starting on October 2.

It was also previously announced that the network plans to air the upcoming season without clashing with American Idol's air time, consequently airing Dancing with the Stars on Mondays and Tuesdays, just as season 4 had done. Last fall's Dancing with the Stars however, had aired on the Tuesday and Wednesday schedule.

Recent reports include rumors that Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls, Jennie Garth of Beverly Hills 90210 and costar Tori Spelling are to appear on the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars.

As what happened last spring, the 90-minute Monday episode of season 5 will also serve as the lead-in for The Bachelor, which will return for its 11th season. The reality dating show premieres on Monday, September 24 at 9:30pm ET/PT.

Dancing with the Stars has scheduled its two-hour season finale to air on Tuesday, November 27 at 8pm ET/PT. Following its finale will be the premiere of Cashmere Mafia at 10pm ET/PT.

After announcing his participation on the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars, a distinct reality dance series that showcases paired celebrities with professional dance partners in a live competition, in front of a studio audience and the entire nation, Vincent Pastore relinquishes from the popular celebrity reality series. Not getting any younger, he easily becomes weary of the rigorous dance training, which appears to be risky for his 60-year old physique.

Pastore, an Italian American actor, was most popularly known for his portrayal of mobster characters just like his role on The Sopranos as Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero. Born in Bronx, New York on July 14, 1946, he studied at Pace University for three years prior to his pursuit of acting professionally. His other credits included Goodfellas, Shark Tale. Celebrity Fit Club, and The Adventures of Pete & Pete. In addition, he is a host on the radio show The Wiseguy Show.

Last February 20, 2007, the ABC television network made public that Pastore would be joining the competition but after only a week, the notable actor withdrew from the reality dance contest, after realizing the required training and groundwork was far too taxing. Though the news is quite unfortunate for fans of "whimsical personalities" who are novices when it comes to dancing, Pastore's withdrawal is commendable, giving the show enough time to look for a suitable substitute. With this said, avid viewers of Dancing with the Stars are on the lookout for Pastore's replacement. But whoever will replace Pastore will have to work extra efforts to capture the hearts of the crowd, who have already favored other great dancers like 90's hit actor Ian Ziering.

The much-awaited replacement will most likely surface by the end of the week. Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8:00 PM on ABC.
