Cuban's reaction to his exit? "I hate to lose." But despite the sour-sounding blog post after his ouster in Dancing with the Stars, the 49-year-old entrepreneur decided to look at the experience with a positive view.

Mark Cuban said, "Fortunately, I didn't [lose]. Even though I didn't get the votes to stay on as long as I hoped for. I won in every single way possible."

Explaining why, he said, "Five times I got to experience the rush/fear/excitement of knowing that when the music starts 20 [million] people were going to see me do something for 90 seconds I had never done before, and while I did it, I had to find a way to put that aside and love every minute of it. I did. That's a win."

In talking about his determination for being part of the highly watched celebrity competition, Cuban said, "For 8 weeks I got to get up every morning knowing that no matter how sore I was, I had a goal that required me to challenge myself physically and mentally from 2 to 6 hours or more every single day. I did it. I loved doing it, and I lost 30 lbs doing it."

Moreover, Dancing with the Stars reminded Cuban of a child's reaction once he moves into a new neighborhood.

"The fear, the excitement, the uncertainty, the newness of it all. Not knowing if I was going to be picked first or last for the game and whether or not I would live up to either. Knowing that feeling again. That's a win," Cuban explained.

For a business mogul and sports team owner, Mark Cuban does know what it means to win and lose, and he chooses to look at his departure from Dancing with the Stars as a victory he never imagined before.
