Joey Fatone has honed most of his talents, and has become coordinated in various dancing styles. As a boy band member during his NSYNC days, he was required to learn hip-hop and pop-influenced dance moves. While on Broadway's Rent and Little Shop of Horrors, he had to learn blocking, which is part of musical theater. As for his stint on Dancing with the Stars, he had to immerse himself in ballroom and Latin dancing. For his 31st birthday however, he was given the chance to venture into something outrageously new.
The former contestant of Dancing with the Stars spent his 31st birthday on the "Zero-G" flight out of Kennedy Space Center . The travel site Jaunted.com explained that the flight is technically "a trip in a specially adapted plane, during which the pilot dives in such a way that the forces of gravity are briefly cancelled out. It means you can float, like an astronaut in space, for around 30 seconds at a time."
Aside from being a training tool for astronauts, the flight has also become a destination for space travel enthusiasts or thrill seekers who have enough cash to spend. Famous physicist Stephen Hawking, who has been physically disabled by Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS), has also experienced the Zero-G flight, which is also called the "vomit comet" due to the physical reaction some have during the experience.
It would probably take years until the space tourism allows just about anyone to head out to space to literally dance with the stars but it seems that Joey Fatone was bitten by the same space travel bug that bit his fellow NSYNC band member, Joey Fatone.
Early March, her capacity to perform on Dancing with the Stars sparked speculations due to her prosthetic leg. Mills replied with much optimism and humor saying, "I have no fear. I'm quite happy to be thrown around... and hopefully my leg will stay on'It's very, very unlikely my leg's going to fly off. Even though it would be quite funny to knock one of the judges out."
And despite her enthusiasm and gutsy move, her prosthetic leg still became the focus of another issue. Now, an online gambling site called Bodog.com is taking advantage of a lucrative opportunity by opening bets on whether Mills ? prosthetic leg will go flying off during her dance routine.
Mills, a 39-year old former model, is popularly known as Paul McCartney's former wife. Born in Hampshire, England, she has worked with numerous organizations and charitable institutions. As an active campaigner, she supports animal rights and the curtailment of land mines. She has acquired numerous awards and acclamations for her dedication and involvement in humanitarian endeavors. At present, she is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Association of the United States.
Out to prove her groovy moves in spite of her artificial leg, she hopes to be an inspiration to other people with disabilities. But her inclusion on Dancing with the Stars comes with meticulous preparation and painstaking training. Meanwhile, there are other things that make Mills more nerve-wracking. Her bitter divorce, which has been a lingering issue, has left her tired and weary. In fact, Mills told her friends that she has been through a whirlwind of chaos and that she "had a terrible time."
