[D113]Decorating For Outdoor Wedding
by Jerry Leung, Jer
It is true that the considerations for outdoor weddings will be a bit different from indoor ones. Failure in considering the practical issues associated with your outdoor event will ruin your whole plan. As a result, you should bear the following points in mind. And be sure that you will consider all of them while you are planning for your big day.

Weather is the first thing you need to consider. Obviously, you will not plan a wedding in December if you want to have your wedding in northern Europe. It is just too cold. Of course it will be totally alright if you are planning to have it in the south hemisphere! Yet if you are catering for a "cold wedding" in winter, then you should make sure that you can prepare well for the cold weather. You should also advise your guests about the weather so that they can prepare for it as well.

You should also need to make sure that your wedding photographers are well informed. You should let them know the conditions of the venue as early as possible. Request them to bring alone with lighting equipment if necessary. In fact, taking outdoor wedding photos are full of fun, for both of the people who are being shot and the photographer. However, it is very important to prepare well for the light conditions since the essence of photography is lighting.

It is also very important for you to consider the transportation of the guests. Is there any parking space near your site? If not, you may need to advise your guest not to drive. You will also need to arrange some transportation for the guests. If this is the case, you will need to clearly tell your guests where they can be picked up otherwise your guests will miss your event.

When you are considering a site, it will be better if both outdoor and indoor spaces can be provided at the same time. You can have an easy contingency plan if it can be arrangement in this manner. You can have your wedding in the indoor space in case it rains or snows.

Again, an outdoor wedding is full of fun. If you can prepare it well, you will be able to have a perfect outdoor event.

However, planning for an outdoor wedding can be a lot more difficult than planning for a traditional wedding. You have to consider something which you do not need to consider when you are planning for a traditional wedding. As a result, this article aims at giving you some essential tips when you are planning for your outdoor wedding.

An Outdoor Wedding At Home

You can have your outdoor wedding in the garden of your home. Of course in this case you will only be hosting a small wedding unless you have a really big garden at home. One of the advantages of it is that you can make your wedding a lot cheaper if you can do so. And you can also be able to make your wedding more intimate since it happens at your home. However, as mentioned, you may need to go for other options if you are going to host a big wedding.

An Informal Wedding

As discussed, an outdoor wedding is considered less formal. It will be a perfect choice for you if you personally do not like something which is too formal. If you are having your wedding on a beach, you can run on the beach with your bare foot. Yes you do not need to think about your wedding shoes if you do not want to. And the children can also enjoy in your wedding. In most cases a wedding is something boring for the children. Yet this is not the case of an outdoor wedding. It is because they can play in an outdoor environment.

Having the Ceremony and Reception in the Same Location

Usually the wedding ceremony will be in a different location from the reception venue. This can be quite inconvenient since your guest will need to travel from one spot to another. To this end you may even need to arrange transportation for your guests so that everything will be under your control. The case is totally different for an outdoor wedding. Taking the beach wedding as an example, you can have your ceremony and reception on the same beach. You can have your ceremony in the late afternoon and then your reception will be held in the beach right after your ceremony. This will also help to save money for your wedding. As a result, an outdoor wedding can be a good option for you if you are in a tight budget. Of course you will need to ensure there will be enough lighting at night otherwise your reception will become a mess.

Shelters in Your Location

If you are having your wedding in the afternoon, you have to consider the sun. Your guests will feel very uncomfortable if there is excessive sunshine. As a result, you may need shelters in your wedding so that your guests will not get sunburn. You can consider renting some marquees. They are just perfect as a kind of temporary shelter.
