[D343]Different Types Of Waves
by Alien, Ali
If you've got limp hair that would rather hang against your head than hold a style - even after you've tried all kinds of bodybuilding haircuts, experimented with styling products, and backcombed it repeatedly - a body wave might be for you. Think of a body wave as a kind of support measure that encourages hair to behave when you blow-dry it under, stays when you comb it back, or goes along with whatever you like doing to it. Because oversize rods are used for the service, you won't get curls with a body wave; you may or may not get large, very loose waves.

Root perm

For people with flat, stick-to-the-head hair, a root perm can add lift without curl. Large rods are placed at the hair's roots - and just the roots. This gives volume and height to perpetually lank locks. Think of it as a body wave for your hair's roots.

If hair doesn't look curly after a perm service, it's said that the hair " didn't take." Culprits could include styling buildup on the hair, a medication you are taking, or imbalanced hormones, such as those caused by pregnancy. To prevent damage, don't re-perm hair immediately- wait 1 to 3 months. And if you're pregnant, wait until you've delivered the baby and are no longer nursing!

Spiral waves

You know those gorgeous, coiled ringlets you see on some naturally curly heads? That's what a spiral perm aims to duplicate. The curls are created by perm rods that are rolled vertically instead of horizontally. There is a downside to spiral perms: The vertical rod placement doesn't create the same firm, tight curls as the more traditional horizontal placement, which means your ringlets may be looser than you'd like.

Reverse perm

In a way, a reverse perm is a kind of curl-softening service. The treatment takes tightly or moderately curled locks and sets them on oversized rods. The result is softer, looser waves.

Touch-up perm

It's not healthy to re-perm strands that have been previously treated. The best way to keep damage at bay is to simply perm the new, untreated growth. This treatment is known as a touch-up perm, a re-touch perm, or sometimes a root perm.

Heat styling is downright dangerous on degraded, fragile permed hair. If you can't live without your styling appliances, limit yourself to occasional heat styling and always protect strands with a leave-in conditioner before you begin.

Catamaran sailing is not something you will learn on the regular sailing programs, since most navigation practice is undertaken on monohulls. The reason for such measures is the higher difficulty to operate multihulls as it is the case with the catamaran. Sailing experience added with personal enthusiasm will eventually assist one sail a catamaran, and enjoy the stability, the speed and the challenge of such a boat.
What elements are there to consider for one who is ready to invest in sailing gear? First of all, gloves and special foot wear like dinghy boots for example, top the list. Then, there is the life jacket and the foul weather sailing gear. The latter includes both pants and jacket that checks humidity. And last but not least, there are the wet and dry suits that should not miss from the sailor's wardrobe; they keep you warm even in water or on very cold weather.
The most common mistake people make on their first sailing vacations is to pack way too much. Casual is the word to describe life on an island, so you won't be needing fancy clothes and all sorts of gadgets. Sailing vessels impose restrictions in terms of storage space, and hard-sided luggage are surely not a good idea to take with you. Go for canvas or duffel bags that can be folded into occupying less room. Small baggage that can be taken with you on the plane also save you the trouble of having to deal with lost luggage when you arrive on the island.
Widely spread in the entire Oceania and Polynesia, catamaran sailing had a great influence on the design of leisure boats with multiple hulls. The power engine represents the options to wind and water current power in catamaran propelling, however the true feeling of the sea is attained by understanding the winds and decoding the message of the waves.
There are several types of sand yachts used for land sailing, and according to their distinct features, such vehicles compete in different classes. Therefore, the largest yachts in land sailing competitions are known as Class 2. They all have very big masts with big sails that lend considerable power to the vehicles; yet, the size could be an obstacle to reaching high speed. More popular than Class 2 is Class 3 that is very similar in design, but on a minuscle scale. Designed according to high-tech principles, such yachts make land sailing really fast. Usually made of fiberglass, Kevlar and carbon fiber, these vehicles will get a 60miles per hours during a race.
