Practically, all problem solving skills and practices are derived from the most basic problem solving processes most popularly known in the academe as the scientific approach.

It could be inferred that Science in general, regardless of specific branch or discipline, has forced men to come up with a systematic approach to problem solving.

Thus, the scientific approach to problem solving, being the basic process, is very potent and effective in putting solutions to every challenges, especially in businesses.

Scientific approach

As refresher, it would help a lot if you would be reoriented to these scientific problem solving steps:

1. Know the problem.
2. Gather pertinent data and information regarding that problem or issue.
3. Formulate/ Devise a hypothesis. This will serve as a guide that would give direction to your problem-solving effort.
4. Test and do activities and tasks that would help you prove the validity of your scientific guess.
5. Make a striking and practical conclusion. It follows that when you arrive to this stage, the solution to your problem is already established.

After doing the steps, you could now solve the problem more effectively. Encountering the same problem again in the future would never be a problem.

The SWOT analysis

In the management discipline, business schools and most practitioners are using what they call the SWOT analysis in making sure their business is headed to success.

Success is not only achieved through physical hard work. Mental processes and skills are very essential when a manager aims to make the business successful.

You may be wondering what SWOT analysis is. SWOT is an acronym, more of a mnemonic devised to make the concept of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats easier to remember.

Usually, SWOT analysis is employed by managers when they are putting up a business. But the practice is very flexible that managers of existing companies are widely employing it when they are facing challenges over the business' operations, prospects and profitability.

To do so, enumerate the Strengths the business currently has. Then, list all the Weaknesses, or those gray areas where the business is not really doing well at.

Opportunities foreseen in the future are listed, in contrast to the threats, or the pitfalls and dangers the business is expected to encounter along the way.

By simply doing that, you could have the relevant data that would lead to you to a simple analysis to solve your business' problems and challenges.

Indeed, success of every business is attainable only is the managers would pay particular attention to details and would try to flex their mental muscles for some analyses.

Network marketing is all about getting people to do the selling and for one to just sit back and relax as the money comes in. Though this is challenging especially in the beginning, one can become rich once the individual gets through it.

Problem solving is key since it takes time to analyze a potential recruit if this person is up to the challenge of making money as one did. The individual must carefully pick the right people because if the seller doesn't and end up hiring the wrong people, one will be forced to work and will not be able to relax and start enjoying the fruits of ones labor.

If one is not doing that well in network marketing compared to others, then there is a problem. Since there is nothing with the product, it is best that the person talk about it with others who can help assess what one is doing wrong. By doing this, the individual will know what adjustments need to made to finally get on the right track.

The person can also use the technique of how other people have succeeded and apply it to recruit people. It takes problem solving skills to read a person. By knowing how to sound convincing to the potential recruit, that person will readily want to join the organization and will help one maximize the potential of the product and the market.

Problem solving can also be used in assessing the market. Given that organizations that are engaged in network marketing don't have a control system that can tell if the market is already saturated. If one notices that it is more difficult to get new recruits compared to before, the individual can be one step ahead of other people and move to new territory where the opportunities are endless.

Network marketing involves some analytical skills as well. By doing the math and determining how many people are needed before one can rest, a person can make a goal which should be accomplished over a certain period of time.

For example, an individual recruits 4 people then these individuals will recruit 4 more and so on. As long as these people have the same drive and effort as the principal, one does not have to recruit anymore since there are others in the umbrella that can do that. The individual can just sit back and relax as money comes in from commissions.

The more people that fall under the recruiters umbrella, the more money is made since that person is on top of the structure which allows one to get commission for merchandise or goods sold by other individuals.

Money is a necessity whether the person would like to admit it or not. Without it, a person will not be able to buy things such as a car, clothes and other essential items. Bills and mortgage can't be paid and will be repossessed. Since people have to budget with the limited funds available, some of life's pleasures have to be put on hold until such time that money is saved.

Network marketing is an opportunity offered to anyone who wants to make it big. It is up to the person whether to become a millionaire or just any regular person who will have to toil so many years just to get rich.

The tools that will make network marketing successful have been given. These are products, its benefits and features, what it offers to those who become a part of the organization and the success stories of how others were able to achieve it. All one has to do is apply everything and in time, ones effort and sacrifice will all pay off as money starts to come in.

The potential of becoming very successful through network marketing is endless given that there is no maximum number of people to recruit and new products are sometimes introduced.
