[E36]Earn Money Working Online
by Jack. Sinclair, Jac

What if someone came up to you and said the following: “I'm a stay-at-home professional. I'm my own boss, I work on my own terms, when I want, how I want, and I'm making more money than my nine-to-five counterparts.” Would you be interested in knowing more? Fact is, anyone can be a stay-at-home professional; students, soccer moms, even former CEOs. Anyone can earn money online and work from home. So if you want to be your own boss and work on your own terms, read on.

Take a look around on the internet and you'll see that there are endless choices of work-at-home opportunities available for you to take advantage of, but like all things in life, you have to be careful in the choices you make. Some of these “opportunities” are really schemes that are out to scam you out of your money, so tread carefully lest you regret tendering your resignation for that nine-to-five job you had. You're the one who should be getting paid to work from home, rather than paying to have such jobs.

There are companies out there who hire people to work from home for them, but most tend to be on a per-need basis. There really is little difference in these kind of jobs compared to your traditional nine-to-five, but if you look at the benefits and pay, you'll find yourself wanting to go back to your nine-to-five. So it's no surprise that a lot of people prefer to work for themselves rather than work from home for an employer, because they get to work on their own terms, and they determine their own paycheck by how hard they work.

But having said that, it's important for you to remember that being a stay-at-home professional requires a lot of dedication and self-motivation. This can be hard to maintain as you go along, especially if you don't like the work you're doing. The difference between being “forced” (by way of an employment contract) to do a particular job within the time schedule you're paid for in a nine-to-five and working for yourself in a work-at-home opportunity is that you have the choice of quitting anytime you like, and if you lack the self-motivation and a love for what you do, you'll find yourself quitting possibly even before you've even started.

So how do you get started?

Two words: Affiliate programs. What you really need to get started on your work-at-home opportunity is simply a good product or service, and a good means of promotion. But that's the beauty of the internet, you don't have to worry about having physical stock to purchase or distribute. Affiliate programs make it very easy for you to earn money, and the best thing is, they're free. What you need to do is basically direct traffic to your supplier's website via your own by means of a simple link, and every sale made as a result of that would be attributed to you and you would be remunerated by means of commissions accordingly. If you don't already have a website or don't know where to start with one, make one based on your interests. Think of what you enjoy writing about and start from there. There are many webpage editor software and online guides out there that make building websites easy. Free web hosts and FTP software make it very affordable; they are free after all.

But the work doesn't end there. Once you have your website up and running, the next thing you need to do is make it stand out so that you'll have high volumes of internet traffic coming over to your site and, out of curiosity or interest, clicking on the link to your supplier. Keep in mind that's the goal at the end of the day: getting visitors to click on that link, visiting your supplier's website, and making a purchase once they're there. Make your site look professional so that visitors feel the credibility of the supplier you're recommending and linking back to. But don't stick to just one product or service; sell several at a time, become an impartial reviewer of sorts and recommend products or services that you think will sell and be beneficial to the visitors of your site.

One thing you have to remember though is the fact that success does not come overnight. So while it is possible for you to earn money working online, it takes time and a whole lot of dedication before you'll be able to see the money rolling in.

Originally derived from a combination of broadcasting and iPod podcasting, according to the New Oxford American Dictionary, is "a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar program, made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player." The general accepted definition however, has expanded to include video as well as audio.

Marketers who want to earn money working online recognize the potential of having so many viewers and listeners consume their information in this intimate way.

But while marketing with podcasts seemed very cutting edge a few years ago, and dont get me wrong its still a very innovative way to present yourself, so many people are taking up this marketing method which means that if youre just getting started you will have your fair share of competition.

On a brighter note, many of those who use podcasts to earn money working online are not making full use of their potential. This means that if you take the advice given in this article you can reach your desired market better than those who have attempted before you.

I hate to sound cliche but the best way to get noticed is to get outside the box. The information you provide has to be original, unique, and relevant. Above all it has to be information. Many marketers cant seem to take off their salesman coats and end up pitching to their customers every chance they get.

Consumers have the power, and if you plan to use your podcasts to hard sell youll be wasting your time. Podcasting is about sharing relevant, interesting information. Yes you can be funny, witty, edgy whatever just as long you dont pitch.

This means planning your content carefully. In order to deliver the right sort of content in a highly received manner you need to have a good grasp on who your audience is. Different groups will take your content in differently. Market research is key to providing you with who your audience is, what they want to hear, and how they want to hear it.

A good way to find out this information is by viewing your competitors work. What do successful podcasts in your genre have in common? Once you have an understanding of what they are doing you can then begin to develop your unique selling point.

However, youre podcasting to promote not just as a hobby, so you do have to plug in your website or service somewhere. The place to plug in website is at the beginning and end of your podcast. For example This podcast was made possible by www.yourcompany.com or if you like this episode be sure to subscribe to this podcast at yourcompany.com. This allows you to mention your website without sounding like a sleazy salesman.

A number of podcasts online have good content but lack technical quality. The picture is blurry, or the sound is inadequate. This makes the viewing experience unpleasant and usually not worth the trouble. If you do not feel confidant that you can create a professional looking product, that will make your viewers stay, it may be best that you outsource the job to a professional. You can monitor feedback once your podcast is created.

As with any marketing strategy you need to test and monitor feedback. Monitoring lets you know how your message was received and what changes you need to make. A great deal of the time simply changing the title, or marketing with podcasts in a different category can increase subscribers. Monitoring feedback is the only way youll know what to do next time.

If you want to earn money working online you should consider marketing with podcasts. Be sure to provide quality, interesting information and monitor feedback.
