Demand guarantees
Check the guarantees of the company. Some promotional product suppliers have customer guarantees. Choose the one with the best offers in pricing, shipping, and customer satisfaction.

Don't rush
Always check if the item's production time will enable you to meet your event date or deadline. As much as possible avoid placing rush orders to prevent production errors and rush charges. Alternatively, you can also upgrade your shipping method, but often times this costs significantly more than standard shipping. Verify shipping costs with customer service for pricing upgrades.

Request a proof
Requesting an art proof can give you an idea on the size of the imprint. At the same time you can also see if there are some adjustments to be made in your imprint like changing the font face or font size. You can also avoid misprinted phone numbers and misspelled names. Electronic photo proofs are better than ?paper proofs? because they show a photo realistic preview of your item instead of just annotated drawings that can be misleading. [In concept this seems like a good idea, but we've found that CIF rates are unaffected by use of proofs so they only result in additional cost and/or delays]

Request a swatch
This applies for embroidered logos. A swatch is a small cloth with your actual imprint. This way you can see the quality of the stitches and how your embroidered logo looks. These days you can often get a digital picture of your embroidery that will still show you how it will look without the expense or delay of having a swatch made.

Consider a pre-production proof
A pre-production proof is a sample of your actual order. When additional expense or time is not a concern and you are concerned about how the imprint will look in real-life, a pre-production proof is a good way to see the actual customized product before producing your entire order. Production will not proceed until you approve the actual proof. However, pre-production proofs incur an additional charge. There will also be natural variations from one production lot to another so your pre-production proof will not be identical to your final order. For example, there may be minor dye color variations. Nonetheless, it can help you catch significant issues, particularly when the customization is fairly involved.

Keep yourself updated
Always keep track of your order. Have your supplier keep you informed of any new developments and ask for the shipping schedule. Once shipped, ask your account manger email you the tracking number of the package. Track the package using the freight service's website so you will know when to expect it.

Thank your representative
After receiving your order, give your account representative a call or email him to let him know that you received the package. Don't forget to thank him for the effort he made in processing your order and let him know if you have any suggestions. This is a way to establish a good relationship with a supplier who cares about your company events and knows what it takes to make your orders successful. Also, you never know when you'll need a favor on your next order.

So instead of spending your time exhaustively researching every single network marketing opportunity available looking for the one that is perfect, it means that you can do your due diligence, investigate the opportunities that resonate most with who you are and then choose the MLM that's perfect for you.

The key things to consider when evaluating an MLM opportunity are the product, the compensation plan, the team and the current market trend.

In your search you are bound to run into companies and people claiming that their opportunity is the ideal. Different companies market different products and they all claim to be the best in their line. Each claims to be selling the best skin care, nutrition, aromatherapy, insurance programs, investment opportunities or even online digital products.

Let's face it. There is no such thing as a perfect MLM, just like there is no such thing as a perfect church or perfect government. Network Marketing companies are just like normal companies in the sense that there will always be administrative and operational issues to deal with.

Take the skin care industry for example. There are many skin care products that have long histories, extensive research, powerful testimonials, and so on. But no matter how good the skin care product is, it will not benefit every single person on the planet. We are all different. Some have drier skin. Some are more sensitive. You can't prescribe one product that will be all things to all people.

Likewise with teams. Certain teams are more suitable for younger crowds with all the excitement and the hoo-hah going on. Others are for a more mature crowd.

Before joining a company, you must always remember in MLM that if you want to make serious money, you must be prepared to be in it for the long haul. There are people who tell themselves, if I can make $500 to $1,000 part time/on the side, I would be happy. They do not set their goals high and what happens? They give only part time or half hearted effort which often doesn't even help them make the $500 that they wanted in the first place!

Others think to themselves, that if they can find that one network marketing opportunity and look for 2-5 downlines, which will do the rest of the work (network building) then they will be set for life. MLM requires commitment and consistent, focused effort. MLM is a business that appreciates in value over time.

Which would you rather earn? $10,000 a day every month or $0.01 doubling every day per month?

Ten thousand a day would seem like a lot of money on the first day compared with getting one cent on the first day? Most would choose the first option, but consider.

$10,000 for 30 days is $300,000. If 31 days, then it would be $310,000.
1 cent doubling every day would produce a whopping $5,368,709.12!!!
If we add one more day the total will be over 10 million!!!

Don't despair if you don't make substantial money over the first 6 months. Those are your training months. Remember again, no one succeeds in the MLM industry without learning and hands on experience.

Learn to pace yourself. Rome is not built in a day. But do it at a pace that respects your financial resources. Ask yourself:

Can I afford the joining fees?

Am I prepared for the overhead costs?

Can I survive if I don't make money in the first six months?

Am I willing to be coached and prepared to learn?

Once you have made your choice get started on the right foot by plugging yourself into the system immediately. Attend live events and teleconference trainings repeatedly and listen to your upline. If your upline is not qualified, the keep going upline until you find someone who can coach you or mentor you. Immerse yourself.

Once you have downlines under you, you must be prepared to be a leader and duplicate what your upline has taught you. Duplication is the key to building a long term business because your downlines are able to do the same thing you are doing to create a successful team.

It's important to remember that Leaders are not born, they are developed over time. Those who succeed in MLM have to pay the price of learning and growing. Are you prepared to pay the price?
