So the solution of the problem of employee discipline becomes one of the primary tasks of the US Navy's policy. Nowadays it is obvious that the key points, key demands to employees are high level of discipline, including self-discipline, at-will employment, due progress, and progressive discipline.
First of all, it is necessary to say that according to the current US Navy's policy it is impossible to recruit an employee without or against his or her will. It means that a person must do a conscious choice of his or her future and he or she must decide whether he/she is ready for service in American Navy or not. Naturally, each candidate must pass through serious of tests and not only physical but psychological as well in order to check if a person is really ready to serve in the US Navy forces. Only after that a person may join the US Navy.
Not less important is self-discipline because it is a corner stone of the general discipline in the US Navy forces. It may be regarded as the second step in improving discipline among Navy employees after tests and employment of a person. Nowadays self-discipline becomes one of the most important criteria for employment of personnel in the US Navy and American army at large. Another important factor that influences employees' discipline is the fulfillment of duties that is one of the primary goals of the US Navy's policy in improving employee discipline. It is one of priorities of Navy's authority to develop employees' respect to military and civil laws and moral values. A permanent development of Navy personnel is supposed to lead to its progress and higher discipline.
By the way, progress and discipline are closely interwoven in the US Navy's policy on employee discipline. Actually, what it means in real life is the fact that a significant progress is practically impossible without discipline while, on the contrary, a high level of discipline, particularly self-discipline, can contribute to both personal and career progress of an employee. It is no a secret that well-disciplined employees are often awarded while any violation of rules lead to a severe punishment.
Thus, it is obvious that in the contemporary world the US Navy's policy on employee discipline should evaluate and it should be significantly improved that could prevent many conflicts between American army and inhabitants of those zones where the US have either military basis or organizes some military operations. It is vitally important for success of military operations and international policy of the United States.

Since then, the U.S. Navy has continued to grow and grow. In 1880, a program was started to modernize the ships. Since then, technology has progressed at such a fast rate, that this program has, in effect, never stopped. Now, in the 21st century, the U.S. Navy is made up of huge metal battleships that are always being updated with new technology, weapons, and abilities. The Navy a huge force, protecting America and carrying out missions. It has been like this for hundreds of years, and with modern technology it appears that the importance of the U.S. Navy will not lessen anytime soon.
