The same applies to the anything you start online, even though there are objectionable other who'd have you believe it's a "Cake Walk" and needs no more than the faith that you can just do it.
Yes, I can say, it is a Cake Walk next to the stuff you put up with in corporate America, punching a time clock being a subsidiary to someone who does not have your interests at heart, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must navigate in order to actually make Online marketing work for you.
Some people won't make a dime, while other make more in a week than some in a year. Why is that?
To make money online you must first have PASSION for the company products and/or service of any Online business from which you anticipate to make money.
Of course, I'm not trying to make anyone thinks that Passion is the only thing required. In order to be successful you furthermore need a great website, solid marketing, extensive marketing, business support, effectual management, and etc. It is very easy to learn these things, but bypass Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.
Your Passion in this sense simply means that you have done your home work and studied your business field. It is then that you transform that into the education, enthusiasm and work that follows Passion.
Online marketing work is typically not all that hard or time consuming but it does require inspiration caused by Passion to get you up and going with a constant effort so that you won't fail.
You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Online Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!
Research should reveal a company that you like and have assurance in. It should be stable, founded on good values, and simple to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don't find it, it's OK keep looking till you do.

If you say, well, that sounds good and the payment plan is superb so I think I will do that business - does not sound like a choice based on true Passion. And remember when you hear that an Online "guru" does that, don't be mislead, because as I said previously they are skilled and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the business.
Don't forget, there are other steps you must make before you go into Online Marketing but if you don't first find the right business products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of headache instead of bringing you good success.
