[T937]Tips For Driving In Snow
by Oren, Ore
Following is a list of common problems and guidelines to avoid them during driving:
Fatigue - Fatigue severely limits your reaction time and decision-making ability, and is caused by lack of sleep, the body's circadian rhythm, and driving for long periods of time. Circadian rhythm is the body's natural ?downtime?, which for most people is between 1 and 5 p.m. and around your normal bedtime. To avoid fatigue, take breaks, keep the vehicle cool, and be aware of your ?downtime?.

Glare: Sources of glare include headlights of oncoming or following vehicles, misaligned headlights, improperly loaded vehicles, a dirty windshield, paper on the dashboard, facing the sun at dusk or dawn, snow-covered landscapes, and traditional versus contemporary side mirror settings. To combat glare, wear polarized sunglasses during the day only, adjust sun visor as needed, keep windows clean, reduce speed, and look to the right-hand side of the road when meeting a vehicle with high beam headlights on.

Fog: During foggy conditions, reduce speed, use low beams, windshield wipers, and defroster/defogger and flashers if needed, and look for a safe area to pull off the road.

Heavy Smoke, Rain, or Snow: Reduce speed, turn on low-beam headlights, emergency flashers, and windshield wipers; make gentle steering, accelerating, or braking actions; be alert for stopped vehicles on the highway, and be prepared for wind gusts or strong steady crosswinds; turn on the radio to monitor weather and road conditions, and if possible, leave the highway.

Low water crossing: Nearly half of all flash flood fatalities are vehicle related, in severe rainstorms watch for flooding at bridges and low areas. Driving too fast through low water will cause the vehicle to hydroplane and lose contact with the road surface.

Strong wind conditions: Strong wind conditions create a problem called buffeting. This condition occurs on bridges, through mountain passes and ravines, and when being passed by large trucks. Reduce speed, check traffic, be prepared to steer windward, and counter steer in the direction you want the vehicle to go.

Changing traction conditions: Traction or adhesion is the grip the tires have on the road surface, which allows the vehicle to start, stop, and/or change directions. As speed increases, traction between the tires and the road decreases. Three kinds of traction influence motor vehicle control: static, rolling (dynamic), and sliding. Road surface conditions that decrease the level of traction are ice, snow or frost, wet surfaces or standing water, mud or wet leaves, uneven surfaces, sand, gravel, and curves. Speed should be reduced in such conditions.
By following above guidelines, you'll be able to keep your driving safe and pleasant.

1. Article Marketing

One of the ways to become an expert in your field of work is to research it and write about it on a regular basis. By writing articles you can keep people informed of latest updates in your industry as well as general information surrounding the work that you do.

Once you have written an article it should then be submitted to as many good quality article directories as you can find. People who are reading these articles will then be able to follow a link from the article to your website if they like what you are writing about.

2. Social Networking

One of the great new ways of finding customers is by using social networks. For example you can set up a group on Facebook where you can tell people about your business and what you do. Keeping this interesting and up to date will encourage people to join to find out about you. Those people who like what you are doing will visit your website and will be much more likely to result in a conversion than regular traffic.

3. Blogging

You can actively participate in others blogs posting valuable comments on what you are reading and getting seen that way. It can also be an advantage to set up your own blog. This will allow you to get information out their regularly but also get feedback from those that are reading your blog. You should review the comments you get and adapt what you are doing based on how your readers view you.

4. Social Bookmarking

Adding your Blog posts and articles to social bookmarking sites like Twitter and Stumbleupon will allow a much wider audience to see what you are writing about. Stumbleupon is a great site to use as it includes networking properties along with bookmarking. You will be able to make friends on the site as well as getting fans who like what you are writing about. Then when you bookmark something this will be seen by your friends and your fans who if they are liking what you have to say may visit your site and be converted to a sale. Remember to bookmark other interesting sites as well, not just your own to get as many people as possible interested in what you are doing.

5. Forum Posting

Forums tend to be highly targeted to a specific area or topic. So it is important to find forums that discuss your area of expertise, and get involved. Give advice to people and help them out with questions that they may have. Remember to include a link to your website in your signature or post and to direct people to your website particularly if you can help with what they are asking about.

These are our favourite tips however there are many other things you can do on the internet to bring targeted traffic to your website. Some of the things we have seen mentioned before include writing free Ebooks, submitting articles to blog carnivals, using Ustream.tv, interviewing other bloggers and video marketing.

The most important thing to do is to get involved with the community, interact and get yourself known. The more effectively you do this the greater the chance you have of being a success on the internet.
