[T958]Tips On Healthy Eating
by Saurabh, Sau
1. Invest in non stick pans - With quality non-stick pans you can get away with not using oil at all or by using a low fat cooking spray. You can also 'fry' some foods in a little water to prevent them sticking. If you have to use oil, use olive oil and pat food with kitchen roll after cooking to remove excess oil.

2. Look through your recipes collection for diet recipes and low fat recipes. Cook them in batches and For more detail go to: www.delicious-sandwich-recipes.com.freeze so that you always have a healthy meal option available.

3. Steam or stir-fry vegetables - Cooking them using these methods will help the vegetables to retain their nutrients, color and taste. Look for healthy recipes like Chinese stir-fries and invest in a wok and steamer. You can buy Chinese bamboo steamers, which just sit on top of a pan of boiling water, or you can buy electric steamers. You can get a good electric steamer for less than the cost of one meal out and the ease of use is a real time saver.

4. Use olive oil - Replace other oils or a fat with olive oil which is mono-unsaturated oil and actually helps to reduce cholesterol. Make your own salad dressings from olive oil and balsamic vinegar to give your salad a Mediterranean taste and this will be lower in fat than commercial salad dressings. Search online for free recipes using olive oil. Some muffin recipes use olive oil or corn oil instead of solid fats.

5. Use fat free milk in cooking and baking to cut the fat content of your healthy recipes.

6. Replace fat in baking - For more detail go to: www.july4-recipes.com.Look for low fat recipes for cakes and biscuits or replace half the fat in recipes with pureed prunes, yogurt or mashed banana. Search for diet recipes for sweet treats.

7. Use fat-free yogurt or cr'me fraise instead of using cream for pouring on dessert recipes or fruit.

8. Add more vegetables to casseroles and soups and use fresh or frozen vegetables rather than canned.

9. Don't add salt to food - Season food with herbs, spices, and garlic and lemon juice instead of salt.

10. Trim visible fat off meat and use lean meat in your low fat recipes. Cut down on how much red meat you consume and replace with fish and chicken or turkey.

Remember, cooking and eating healthy food is not hard work and definitely not expensive. If you play your cards right you can change you whole family's diet and they won't suspect a thing.

That isn't to say that they won't notice anything though, because they will - they may well notice that they are losing weight, feeling better and getting fewer minor illnesses.

The average person's diet is horrible and loaded with useless carbohydrates and sugars that stall the metabolism and have created the worst obesity epidemic the world has ever known. That is the obvious problem of our eating habits but there is an unseen hazard that lurks within our bodies caused by bad diet and lifestyle choices"colons that are impacted with the byproducts of the foods we eat creating poisonous toxins.

The toxins that build up in our bodies as a result create a high stress level for our systems and are even a leading factor in our basic inability to lose weight and keep it off. Even more serious health issues like kidney and liver malfunctions, diseases such as diabetes, candida, hemorrhoids, and the tendency to catch colds and the flu are all heavily related to the state of your colon's health. Improper colon health due to diet is also a leading factor in the 2nd leading cause of cancer in the world"colon cancer.

Cleansing the Impurities out of the colon is not a fast instant procedure. It can take months to properly cleanse and then should be incorporated into a lifestyle. Along with the helpful cleansing products and other materials such as enemas eating properly can also facilitate good colon health and cleansing. It is important to adjust your lifestyle as well as providing a 'temporary' fix by total cleansing and some of the healthy eating tips have both a long term, and a cleansing means to keep your body working properly. Other eating tips have no ill effects and are the same for both lifestyle and cleansing.

Drink Water

As a society we drink everything but the very elixir of life"water. Water is essential to every function of your body from brain to heart and digestion to proper blood flow. Water also helps flush your system of impurities and is a great diet aid as well.

As a lifestyle: A normal healthy individual should drink at least 8 cups of water daily.

For the benefit of flushing out your system: Drinking 16 to 20 cups of water daily is recommended.

Where's The Beef?

The one place it should not be is in your system. Red meat is hard to break down and remnants can remain in the colon for years.

As a lifestyle: Avoid all red meats. You can get plenty of protein from fish, chicken, legumes, and nuts.

For the benefit of cleansing: Eliminate red meat altogether while you are cleansing.

Fill up on Fibers

The normal person's diet contains less than half of the daily recommended fiber amount. Even the recommended amount of fiber is at a very minimum. Boosting the fiber in your diet makes drinking extra water imperative to avoid complications.

As both a lifestyle and during cleansing: Consume brown rice, leafy vegetables and beans as a regular part of your daily diet.

Fruits and Veggies

There are no bad side effects to eating too many fruits and vegetables. These are the foods your body craves and not only provide nutrients but also extra water as well.

As both a lifestyle and during cleansing: You should consume at least 8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.

Cut Out the Caffeine

Caffeine is a drug and highly addictive. Not only does it produce nasty withdrawal symptoms it increases the toxicity in your system and promotes weight gain and cravings.

As both a lifestyle and during cleansing: completely eliminate all caffeine products from your diet including: coffee, black teas, soda containing caffeine, chocolate. This list includes decaffeinated coffee as even though the caffeine is greatly reduced there is no such thing as a completely decaffeinated coffee.

What to drink: Choose green teas, fruit or vegetable juices, or the water you should be consuming on a daily basis in place of all of your normal caffeine products.
