[T1029]To Make Party Invitations
by Chelsea Nicole, Che
Valentine's is fast approaching. Only a few days away and your children are hankering for a Valentine's Day party to celebrate with their friends. So you obliged. In addition to getting all the things that your children and their friends will need for the party, you're now planning for the print invitations.

For most parties, people often go to a bookstore or gift shop to buy ready-made invitations. However, for your children's first Valentine's party, you would want a personal invitation printing to suit your children's mood. You know that this will be a unique way to create distinct print invitations, and at the same time, save money as well.

Custom

You and your children will need lots of red drawing paper, a pair of scissors, pens and color highlighters, and sticky glue for your personalized .

From the drawing paper, cut hearts measuring 6 inches each. Depending on your number of guests, divide it by two. So if you have 12 guests, cut 6 hearts and separate them.

Split the hearts into two parts to create broken hearts. Make sure to cut a jagged pattern from top to bottom. And remember to cut each heart differently so no two hearts will be the same.

On each half of the heart, write your invitation and your message. Include words such as ?when you bring this half, you might just find the perfect friend?. When you're done, send each half to your invited guests.

When it's time for your party, your children's guests will definitely enjoy looking for their ?other half? to try to fit the edges between the two parts.

A few suggestions for your invitations:

1- Depending on your theme, your invitations should reflect the theme of the event or occasion. If it's for Valentine's then make sure you have plenty of hearts and the color red. If it's for a sports event like the Super Bowl After Party, you might want to try out your hand on sports-themed invitations. And a wedding invitation can be in white.

2- Create a striking layout to catch the attention of your recipients. This is especially true if you're looking at attracting your target clients to company-sponsored events or exhibits.

3- Be sure you have the event, date and time, the place, dress code if any, and any other information necessary to your print invitations. This would help your guests to come prepared and not look like someone lost during the event.

The bottom line to every is to inform, in addition to making your event look attractive and interesting. So make sure that your message as well as your design should be catchy and tasteful according to your target audience.

* If you are doing one big uniform meal, assign your guest certain groceries to purchase and bring with them. This keeps the costs down for you.

* If you are doing different food themes (Mexican, Italian, Chinese, etc.), then assign one person to be in charge of each theme and have that person assign the grocery list within each group.

* Whatever dishes, pans, or utensils you don't have that you need, assign someone to bring instead of you buying. Keep the costs down.
