Knowing a person well is very crucial before you commit to have a relationship with him or her, regardless of whether that relationship is personal or professional. This is important because trust and confidence must be established for a long-term relationship. If you do not have such trust, you will not have a successful relationship. Before you ever give trust, it is better to know the background of the person. In extreme cases, you may want to know if the person has jail records in your area. Let's face it. Having a relationship with a con can be hazardous. Better be sure by looking at jail records in places where the person claimed to live. Nevertheless, before you ever put down the person because of his being included in the prison records, it is even better to know the very reason why he or she has been jailed.

In-depth background checking of the person is necessary especially if you are entrusting the person your very life or the life of your family or that of your business. It could start with simple suspicion. People whose names are written in jail records mean that they have experience of being isolated or being in group of people who are notorious or dangerous. Importantly, it could also mean that they have committed or have been suspected of doing serious crimes. Although the prison records should not be your sole basis to judge the trustworthiness of the person, it could be a good start for you to dig deeper about the background of the person.

Being in jail records means that the person could have committed a crime or could have been suspected of doing something wrong. If you are truly interested in the person, you need to check the reason why the person has been included in the prison records on the first place. It could be that he has been setup. It could be that he is just a suspect but has not really done the crime. It could also be that truly the person did the crime. Within these three possibilities, you can either stick with the person and investigating further so you can keep him or you can leave him and find another worthy partner in life or in business.

It is possible that you can start looking at jail records to better know the person. Again it does not have to be conclusive that the person is no good or that he is not trustworthy. But the fact that he is in prison records means that he could be involved in serious crimes, whether as a suspect or as the one who truly made the crime. In effect, he is considered a con and it would affect your personal life if other people know that you are dealing or trusting a con. It's for you to reconsider in dealing with the person.

Find out about the other persons style of listening and understanding. There are commonly two types of persons, one- auditory and second- visual. Auditory people talk more and hear the words more. Visuals will think more in terms of visuals. To an auditory person - you should say- this sounds good. To a visual person you should say - it looks good. Note the use of words- sounds and looks. Listen to the other person and find out the words used most often by that person. Are they auditory or visual words? Once you know that, use those words more and you will succeed in sending any communication to success.
