[T841]Therapy For Lower Back Pain
by Randall Pruitt, Dc, Dacnb, Daapm, Muac, Ces-nasm, Ran
Bulging or herniated discs are often the cause of lower back pain. In this situation the soft inner core of the disc migrates out breaking through the outer structure of the disc. The outer portion called the annulus fibrosis usually holds this softer inner portion in place. Once this softer material has moved outward, it can cause severe pain by pushing on sensitive structures or by initiating inflammation. If this condition is not addressed appropriately it can lead to a life of pain.
Traumatic accidents, repetitive stress, or motions can cause herniated or bulging discs. Natural aging can also cause gradual breakdown of the disc fibers, making them more prone to herniating or bulging. Depending on the location of the damage the pain from these injuries can vary greatly.
Determining if the symptoms of lower back pain are caused by a herniated or bulging disc may be difficult. Other causes of low back pain must be entertained. If the pain is severe, radiates down the leg and into the feet a herniated or bulging disc is highly suspect.A herniated disc diagnosis is more probable if coughing or sneezing increases the pain. Numbness, weakness and tingling are also very common with herniated or bulging discs. If treatment is not initiated quickly the resultant nerve damage may become chronic.
The most common pain associated with disc problems is lower back pain, but neck pain can also be attributed to herniated or bulging discs. The pain can vary from intense local neck pain all the way to pain into the hands and fingers. Various head positions and movements can also irritate the pain and cause more problems in the neck or arms.
A new alternative to more invasive procedures, is non-surgical spinal decompression. Spinal decompression provides a real answer to the pain caused by herniated and bulging discs. It is also indicated in the treatment of degenerative disc disease and facet syndrome. The mechanism behind decompression is the use of a patented computer system that creates a negative pressure within the disc space. This negative pressure draws the bulging or herniated material back into place so the disc can heal.
Non-surgical spinal decompression utilizing the DRX9000 creates the negative pressures by utilizing a logarithmic pulling mechanism. This specific curve bypasses the typical guarding mechanism that is common with the spinal muscles. The technology necessary to apply spinal decompressive forces is patented and The DRX9000 True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System utilizes high-speed treatment computers to calculate the logarithmic spinal decompression treatment curve for each patient. Recently published clinical research data demonstrates very promising results for patients suffering with herniated or bulging discs.
While herniated and bulging discs are a common back pain condition in America, patients today have a new effective, non-surgical alternative with the DRX9000 Non-surgical Spinal Decompression System.

Even though magnetic therapy has been documented for centuries, the use of magnets to relieve pain has recently become a widely used therapy for many different types of aches and pains. Magnetic therapy has been proven to treat muscle and joint pain, knee pain, neck pain, wrist pain, stiffness, inflammation, back pain and issues relating to the sciatic nerve. Data that has been gathered by various sources have determined that almost thirty percent of the US population has some type of pain that they suffer through on a daily basis. It not only affects them with the pain itself, but also tends to affect their moods and functionality in their lives. Magnetic therapy can be one way to get their life back to normal.

There have been many clinical studies, laboratory tests and cell research done on the benefits of magnetic therapy in pain relief and healing. While the opinions vary as to the exact extent of relief that the use of magnets provide, scientists have concluded that there is, in fact, a therapeutic result when using magnetic materials.

Back pain and neck pain could be caused by a number of things. Therefore the treatment varies with the degree and kind of pain. Use of pain relievers, prescription drugs and magnetic therapy are a few of the options for pain treatment. When pain relievers and prescription drugs are used to relieve the pain, it takes a considerable amount of time longer for the medicine to take effect. Most people that use magnetic therapy for back pain relief can start to feel relief in as little as a couple of minutes after applying the magnetic material to the area.

There are two causes that are common in back pain, an imbalance in muscle and any type of trauma caused by an injury. A muscle imbalance is usually when muscles are used more frequently than others. The ones that are used the most will tend to be the ones that cause pain. Magnetic therapy can work on this specific type of back pain, however, if there has been an injury, it will be best to see a physician for a pain relief treatment.

Poor posture can also cause back pain as the spine and pelvis may become misaligned. When this happens, there is an increased amount of tension on the muscles and there is not much support to the spine when muscles become weak and stressed. The lower back area would be a helpful place to use the magnetic therapy by placing them at the point of pain infliction. Using the proper placement of the magnetic materials for pain relief therapy, it is possible to achieve a postural poise and prevent the imbalance.

Magnetic therapy also alleviates the pain that is associated with sitting or standing for long periods of time. There are many people that fall into this category because of the job that they have and may sit behind a desk all day. It is a fact that computer use contributes to pain in the back, shoulders and neck. Typing continuously on the keyboard can cause pain in the wrists, as well. People that have this type of back pain may think that it is simply something that they have to live with. Since the magnetic therapy benefits have been presented for all types of pains, these back and neck pain sufferers will no longer have to tolerate such excruciating back pain.

Life does not have to include neck and back pain when there are magnetic therapy products available. Most of the magnetic therapy can be used without even being seen, like wearing them affixed to the skin under the shirt for back pain. Whether the pain is in the upper or lower back area, the magnetic devices can be hidden while giving intense pain relief for the sufferer. When the pain is alleviated, the patient can return to their normal activities and get back to doing the things that they have always loved doing.
