[N121]Need To Calm Down
by Diane Cossie, Dia
I am sure you have to be a certain age to realise that age has nothing to do with energy. People say (because they are conditioned to do so by their parents, friends and neighbours). They say things like you need to slow own as you get older. Age has got nothing to do with it, what you need to learn how to do is calm down.

Energy is 100% present in all things 100% of the time, we are energy, every thing around us is made up of energy and for things to go well in life you need to calm down, and let that energy flow through you easily & quickly.

If you think about how easy it is to relax listening to your favourite music, your head suddenly becomes clearer and your mind starts to become far more creative. You suddenly find a solution to something that has been bothering you or you may have a great business idea pop into your head.

This is because of the calm state your body and mind adopt so that you are able to do this easily and with great effect. Most people over react to everything from the moment they get out of bed in the morning. They do not like the weather forecast, there is a traffic jam, there is no butter left, you cut yourself shaving, the idiot on the road doing 95 mph is a foot from your bumper, and it is all the wrong type of emotion you are creating.

Wasting valuable creative energy on trivial things that just happen to spark off a negative emotional reaction is something you need to control. It is going to stop you getting to where you want to be in life. If you are always reacting to trivial things in the wrong way you are creating thoughts & feelings about things you do not want to happen.

One of the best things in my life was being guided by my mentor on the way I think. His phrase of calm down or do not react was hard at first (due to my conditioning) but after practising I got much better at it.

Try some positive angles on every day things, such as next time somebody cuts you up at a traffic light, you should exclaim out loud what a very interesting driving technique you have there my friend!

You should practise replacing a negative thought with a positive one every day until it becomes a habit. You will be amazed how much better you feel when you calm down and stay more in control of your reactions.
