[N304]No Easy Way Out Tepper
by Gwyn Estember, Gwy
In todays marketing world, viral marketing has been widely used to market a certain product or service. Marketing your product is the most challenging part of having a business. Business owners face this challenge almost everyday and on how to keep up with their competition. With the use of viral marketing, product awareness will increase among consumers and it makes you stand out among the rest. That is why viral marketing is considered the most powerful means of marketing.

Viral marketing can be a word-of-mouth delivered or can be used through pre-existing social networks to facilitate and encourage people to pass along a marketing message. This can help increase in brand awareness and eventually will lead to a product sale which is the main marketing objective. In viral marketing, the message is expected to self replicate in a viral process like in the spread of virus affecting people's health or the computer viruses. It may be in a form of a video clips, ebooks, images, advergames and even on text messages. It is the phenomenon now in internet marketing. Why is it so effective? It's because it is based on natural human behavior and it is claimed that a customer tells an average of three people about a product or service he likes, and three times fold he tells people about a product or service he disliked.

The term viral marketing may sound offensive because of the term used and it denotes a negative impact on first timers. But the effect is so positive for website owners. One main purpose of viral marketing is to help a certain site stand out and get website visitors to spread the work about the site. This then will lead to product awareness and while you're promoting something, readers may be amused by the interesting articles, videos, games and other things you included on the site. Readers may be prompted to send the viral marketing piece to others.

Viral marketing can also be referred to as creating a buzz. The exciting part of it that it gives away products or services. Some websites offer special deals to visitors that go with the marketing tool or piece of information people are receiving. The most common form for this is the way multi-level marketing do business. Usually, MLMs offer special deals, rebates and or discounts. This helps increase the likelihood of a person and spreading the word to others. So, viral marketing provides effortless transfer of information to others. This then allows you to get a stronger flow of customers and site visitors and most probably your name will be recognizable through the viral marketing process.

In addition, the use of viral marketing is free and an excellent opportunity to receive one-way links, leads and targeted traffic that is why it is vital to almost any online business. But its goal depends on a high pass-along rate from person to person. So when practiced right and effectively, viral marketing can help you achieve your goals. Simply put, viral marketing builds brand recognition, helps generate targeted leads, increase link popularity, increase targeted traffic to your website and most importantly it automates marketing efforts.

It's a little silly when you think about it. Sounds too good to be true. For most people, it is too good to be true. But not when you have the "secret weapon" those experts don't tell you about. If you had it, you can reproduce their results without breaking a sweat.

That secret weapon is a buyer list.

Most people think that a big mailing list is the secret to wealth. It really isn't. What really counts is the quality of the people on your list, and by that I mean, do they buy when you send out an email?

If they don't, they're just sitting there. It wouldn't matter if you had a million people on your list. No buyers means no business.

So if you want to know the "secret" to making money online, it's having a list of people who willingly hand over money when you invite them to. It's never been more complex than that.

What stands in the way of most people reaching that goal is not knowing how to build a list of buyers. You can cram a list full of subscribers, but then all you have is a big list. Will they buy? Probably not, and most marketers know that they get only about 1-2% response when they send out an email.

That's not bad if your list is huge, but what if you could send an email to a list of 2,500 people and get 10% of them to buy? That's 250 sales for you!

Now, which do you think is easier...getting 25,000 people on your list and hoping that one-percent buy so you can get your 250 sales, or getting 2,500 buyers on your list who buy like crazy whenever you email?

Surprisingly, getting those 2,500 buyers is actually easier. And to tell the truth, most people with massive lists don't even get 1-2% response when they email. It's more like 0.05%. That means you'd have to kill yourself to build a list of 500,000 people to get those 250 sales. No, thanks.

Remember, quality counts more than quantity for most things, certainly for mailing lists. If you'll focus your efforts on getting buyers to join your list, you'll be far better off. Pretty soon, you'll have your own six-figure stories to tell.
