It seems that this simple but good looking man's hat has never gone out of style. In the movies, we see the gangster fedoras. The private eyes usually wore a black fedora. Don't leave out the G-Men. Elliot Ness and company all wore fedoras. Depending upon your age, you may be wondering what a fedora is and why is it so special? Fedoras are a soft felt hat that is creased lengthways down the crown and pinched in the front on both sides. There are comparable hats with this C-crown (known as a groove for the head in the top of the crown) are occasionally called fedoras.

My dad wore a mens fedora hat. You just never saw him without one. I can remember putting it on and feeling special.
