[P548]Pose For A Photo Shoot
by Matt Seweryniak, Mat
Preparing your camera bag for a photo shoot requires a little more consideration than going to the mountains to take pictures. You need to be a lot more cautious and prepare for the worst. You can't afford to mess up a photo shoot or come ill-equipped for the job. If you are being paid a lot for your work, you better have everything perfect.

Instead of bringing a small camera bag for protection, you will want to bring a very large camera bag that has a ton of storage space. You want to bring something that is designed for cameras instead of just any luggage bag. Luggage bags and suitcases don't secure the camera and accessories enough for traveling.

If you are serious about photography, then you bring two cameras to a photo shoot. They can both be the same kind, but you want two because you probably won't have time to fix one if it breaks. There are some camera bags out there that will fit both cameras easily, which is the preferred way. You can also bring two camera bags, or have one main bag with everything in it and then another small one on the side just to hold the spare camera.

This is a good time to bring out all of your weapons in your arsenal. If you have 3 lenses or more don't be afraid to bring them all. If they won't all fit in your bag then you will have to find a way to select the most important ones. Which ones you bring is all about what kind of pictures you will be taking.

You need to bring lots of media for the photo shoot. If you are using digital then bring lots of memory cards. If you are using film then I would recommend bringing plenty of different kinds of film. You will need to bring film for any kind of picture you are taking. Also, it is good to carry lots of film so that you never run out during the photo shoot. That is one of the most stupid things someone could do.

There are other things that i didn't cover but I wanted to give you an idea of how I pack for a shoot. I hope this article helped you prepare for your big photo shoot. A great way to go with a camera bag is to get a camera backpack. All beginners should start with one, they are easy to carry and include all of the space you will ever need to store all of your gadgets.
