Words don't just influence peoples minds but can altogether alter their perception about a specific thing. Words have the persuasion force to entice and motivate. They are used by the politicians, throughout the public relations sector and even by parents to pass on their message. These words are known as power words and they can do wonders when used in advertisement.

"New or improved" words create a sense of curiosity. Customers get an impression that the product is something out of the ordinary from others and will try to get the item ahead of the multitude, to gain some sort of edge. For example - laundry and cleaning products have always been promoted as being new and improved, although almost always new improved versions of the existing product, but the power of both the words and the product reinforces each other's strength. This is true of many products specials, deals, bargains, sales, special events and many other power words are used to invite the customer to look closer at what is being offered.

Take for instance the line ?money back guarantee?, these power words help gain the trust of the customer. It is a must to print these words at the closing line of an advertisement. After this sentence, print clearly the methods of payment and how money will be returned if the customer is not satisfied with the purchased product.

Most booming advertisements have that certain something, that generates curiosity within the reader. People are knowledge thirsty, they want to know what others do not know and want vital information they are missing to help them gain success in a particular area. This can be treating a health problem, buying a new laptop and finding the best prices or how to traing their pet.

The word "free" in a message headline can do wonders in many cases, but used in the wrong way can be perceived as negative. But be careful here because if the customer is tricked into paying money for something, which was supposed to be free the trust of the customer is lost instantly. The word "free" can be perceived as spam, so be careful how it's used.

"You" - is another very important word applied in an advertisement. It speaks directly to the customer and points out the advantages of buying a particular item or service. Step into the shoes of the customer and try to note down the points that would be of benefit to them and what angles will decrease the interest. The advantages should then be mentioned to the customer by addressing them directly with ?you?. The customer feels that s/he is being spoken to directly.

The word ?Immediately? is often applied in advertising to ring in the emergency. It can be interpreted as ?don't wait any longer, get it now!? This very often motivates the customer into taking necessary and quick action.

"Power" in itself is a powerful word. By giving that power to your customer, it's likely that you'll see magic. This gives the consumer a feeling that s/he can get possession of something that they didn't have until now and could help them achieve their goals.

The foundation of a successful advertising campaign is to understand the consumer's wants and then design the advertisement accordingly. Just stating the advantages of using the product or service isn't always enough. After doing your sentence framing, adding power words to spice up the ad will definitely make a winning advertising campaign.
