If you live in a town of over forty thousand people, more than likely you have a choice of at least three tattoo shops to pick from. Because of the rising interest in body art and the human need to stand-out, just a little from the sea of humanity, the numbers of tattoo parlors opening has skyrocketed.
Good tattoo artist's will foster a real relationship between themselves's and their client very similar to that of your hair stylist and his or her customer. A high level of confidence must be achieved with an air of professionalism. There is a definite difference between the kind of quality you will find among the various shops and it pays to be well informed.
A high quality tattoo parlor will cost more, but you'll notice the difference in professionalism as soon as you walk in. The whole place will feel clean and sanitary yet make you feel comfortable like your just hanging out.
Appointments are needed for the best shops because of their high quality workmanship and original designs by true artist's who create their own one of a kind designs you can't find anywhere else. Sure the ink in a better class place is more expensive, but you won't see your tatt on half the people you run into either.
When you decide to get a tattoo there are a few things to keep in mind. The first is deciding on which tattoo reflects your personal taste and desire yet is not the latest fad. Remember: fads and trends come and go. The tattoo is there for life unless it has to be cosmetically removed.
Another great suggestion when looking for a good place to get your tattoos and piercing's is to do a online search to check if there have been any lawsuits filed against the artist. When shop owners start getting careless customers are at risk and lawsuits begin. There was a lawsuit brought against a shop owner recently where the customer was infected with a flesh eating bacterium by the use of unsanitary equipment.
You should pick a shop in a safe area. Sanitary conditions are easier to maintain in a clean safe environment. A smart way to think of it is would you feel safe walking down the street. If you need company to get in to the shop how safe are you going to be with their needle stuck in your skin. If the tattoo shop owner does not care about the neighborhood their shop is located in, how much do they care about you. Exceptions do happen so do some investigating.
There is more to a good tattoo shop than a talented artist and a tattoo gun. Any business has to spend a lot of time to build a good reputation, but in the body art business word of mouth is everything. It can take hundreds of great tattoo's to gain a good reputation, but just one customer with a bad infection can ruin a business. The successful tattoo shops know this and strive to keep you safe and healthy.
To start off with, how you plan to use your autoresponder plays a big part in deciding which autoresponder to choose.
For example, the following are different types of autoresponders and some examples of companies that provide this type:
- full services, subscription based autoresponder (GetResponse, Aweber) - typically full featured, very robust functionality for managing your lists and subscriber messages; these products are very good if you want to host a professional newsletter that adds some pizzazz to your marketing efforts; these are the top products in their field; most are double opt-in which means you have the cleanest list available
- email blaster autoresponders (ReliableContact, MLMarketing) - typically a step below the full-service autoresponders in functionality; these autoresponders provide the basics, but don't have all the bells and whistles that the full-service providers do; one advantage though is that some of these autoresponders allow single optin, which means that you can import your leads directly into a mailing sequence without going through a verification (double opt-in) process; this allows you to import large amounts of leads everyday and build your "list" quickly; however, there is risk because some people think this type of autoresponder is spam, even though they offer spam-compliant features like one-click remove; if you are looking to be an email marketer only, these autoresponders allow you to get in the game fast
- self-hosted autoresponders (VarPro, Autoresponder Plus) - if you have your own website, and want the most cost-effective solution, the self-hosted autoresponders are the best way to touch your prospects by email marketing; because you purchase the product and install it on your hosted server, there are no ongoing costs associated with maintaing your email list; you are in total control
- free autoresponders (FreeAutoBot, EZAutoresponder) - there's an old saying - you get what you pay for; free autoresponders provide the basic functionality of building a list, and setting up a email sequence; they do these jobs really well; the biggest drawback of some free autoresponders is that they place their own ads in your emails; this is probably distracting to the customer, but worse yet, you might lose a sale to your autoresponder provider; but if you just want a simple and cost-effective way to reach your prospects, these down and dirty free autoresponders provide the basics you need
So what are the deciding factors of which autoresponder to use. Some might be:
- budget (ongoing monthly payments, or an upfront payment) - long-term or short term commitment (buy outright and host, or monthly subscription) - what type of email follow-ups do you envision (high quality, html emails with blogging and RSS integration, or simple text emails) - do you want to be 100% spam compliant - do you have access to a large amount of leads to feed into the autoresponders on a daily basis - does your website drive enough traffic to justify having an autoresponder - how many follow-up emails do you plan to send
We will continue to discuss these and other issues related to autoresponders in future articles. But suffice to say, if you plan to build a long-term presence with your internet marketing business, and autoresponder is critical to your success.
