Dry undergarments are also a key factor in avoiding and preventing yeast infections. Experts recommend that a woman wear cotton underwear that allows for better ventilation and a drier environment for the vagina.

Along these lines, a woman should always take off swimwear after swimming and exercise garb after a workout to aid in preventing the occurrence of yeast infections.
