The thought of having someone be proficient with polishing concrete floors without prior experience is preposterous. There have been a fair number of tricks to learn, which unfortunately won't happen overnight. People still ask me how it's done, though, in the interest of learning it themselves. To them, I say this; if you want polished concrete floors, find someone who knows how to do it. I am more lenient to those who wish to be an expert on polished concrete, though. To these people, I suggest taking three things to heart; you should understand the process, practice what you understood, and have the right tools for the job. These three are all interconnected, and you got to have them to attract potential customers. The first thing that you have to understand is the way concrete polishing works. At it's core, you grind a portion of the surface to expose the aggregate, and then start with the actual polishing process. The coarse grind requires low grit diamonds, 40 in my machine, and you'll have to go progressively higher as you shift from coarse grinding to polishing. The second tidbit of advice comes in the form of knowing the equipment your using. You of course need the machine, from which there are many brands to choose from. Your choice of machine also dictates the various grit of diamonds that you need to have. All these information can be asked from Concrete Polishing. Finally, you need to be able to practice your craft. Some of the available options would be: Apply in a crash course, or work under another floor contractor for some time. We would be able to help out, either way.
Many amongst my friends, as well as some of my relatives, have been asking me how I've become familiar with concrete polishing. To that, I simply reply with the truth; I'm good with the internet search engines. As long as I have a vague idea of what I need, chances are I will find it in record time. Simply put, internet-savvy is something that I learned to do as a survival skill in this day and age. Enough about me. I am here to talk about what I did find over the internet recently. Concrete polishing is a stylish addition to any home. I've had it for some time now, and it still makes me smile when I first notice it in the morning. I am happy I chose polished, concrete floors for my home. I can tell you personally that polished concrete floors attract attention. It was simply eye candy for the friends that I had over recently, and they can't stop talking about it. Some of them even mistook it for marble tiling. In any case, they could hardly believe that it's made from the same material that we use for our streets. Nevertheless, concrete, when polished, is comparable to that expensive material. Concrete is a very practical type of floor design as well. The cost for having my concrete floor polished was about the same as the cost that I would have spent on brittle ceramic tiles. Add to that the longevity of the concrete polish itself. I do not have to pay for maintenance very often. All I have to do is sweep occasionally. Polished, concrete floors just stay shiny. Lastly, you'd probably want to consider color for your polished concrete floor. When I had mine done, I asked the contractor to have it in coffee tones, as it would complement the rest of the house well. Many specific tints are possible; my friend even had multiple colors tinted in his own concrete floor.
