After the audition in Salt Lake City and Dallas , the judges headed to Charleston , South Carolina and Washington , DC .

Tyce Diorio joined Nigel and Mary to choose among the aspirants in Charleston . In all, 38 dancers were judged to be competent enough to continue for the second round to be held next week in Las Vegas .

Among the remarkable dancers were Sheila Kaisser and Jeremy Hughes. Sheila, an engineering student and also a daughter of two engineers, went to the audition without her father's blessings. But her effort nevertheless paved way as she was granted to continue her journey to Vegas. The judges also saw great potential on Jeremiah, who came all the way from Toronto .

Claire Callaway, who auditioned for Season 2, also gave a stunning and memorable performance. Claire made it through Vegas in Season 2 but wasn't able to continue because of a foot injury. Nigel promised to send her back to Vegas if she returns in Season 3. But she wasn't able to do so because she had a baby. After two years, she once again stepped on the stage and impressed the judges with her remarkable moves.

Choreographer Dan Karaty joined Nigel and Mary in Washington and found 19 performers worthy to be sent in Vegas.

The best performer of the evening would be Brandon Bryant. Brandon auditioned for season 1 when he was only 15 at the time when the rules require contestants to be at least 18 years of age. Three years after, he came back to show off his real talent. The judges were impressed by Brandon ?s astounding moves and passion in dancing, proving that he is definitely one performer to watch for the whole season.

The DC swing pair, Markus Smith and Deonna Bell also impressed the judges with their swing routine. Unfortunately, they didn't make it through Vegas after failing to show something significant in the choreography round.

Anthony Bryant is another memorable dancer. Anthony auditioned last year but was cut because the judges think he had a weak performance. Although many think that Anthony's performance this year is very impressive, the judges had a different opinion. They thought that Anthony didn't have enough passion and the right attitude. Devastated by the judges? decision, Anthony cursed his way out of the theatre.
