*The usual starting dosage is 4 milligrams daily and you can take it as a single dose or divided into two smaller doses. Your doctor may also increase the dosage until your blood pressure is under control, up to a maximum of 16 milligrams per day.

Side Effects of Aceon

*If any side effects develop, they are usually mild and are likely to disappear as therapy continues. However, if any do appear, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Aceon.

More common side effects may include:

* Cough
* Dizziness
* Headache
* Leg pain
* Light-headedness
* Nasal inflammation
* Sore throat
* Upper respiratory infection
* Weakness

Warnings and precautions before taking Aceon

*If you develop signs of an allergic reaction (swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat; swollen arms and legs; difficulty swallowing or breathing) stop taking Aceon and contact your doctor immediately. You may need emergency treatment.
*Before using this drug, you should tell your doctor your medical history, including allergies, kidney problems, liver problems, heart or blood vessel diseases, history of angioedema, diabetes.
*You should also contact your doctor if you develop abdominal pain with or without nausea and vomiting. ACE inhibitors such as Aceon have been known to cause intestinal swelling.
*After taken this medicine, you may feel some dizzy, so do not operate any machine or do not drive that requiring full mental alertness.
*Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
*Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Aceon with certain other drugs, then it may be increased, decreased, or altered the effects of medicine. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Aceon with the following:

*Cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune)
*Diuretics such as Aldactone, Diuril, Dyazide, Lasix, and Moduretic
*Indomethacin (Indocin)
*Potassium supplements such K-Lyte, K-Tab, and Slow-K
*Lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid, Lithonate)
*Digoxin (Lanoxin)
*Gentamicin (Garamycin)

Overdose

The most likely warning signs of an Aceon overdose are symptoms of excessively low blood pressure, including dizziness and light-headedness. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.

After taken Aceon if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Aceon overdose may include:

*Dizziness
*Light-headedness

For Duodenal Ulcer, then the usual dose is 20 milligrams taken once daily after the morning meal for a period of up to 4 weeks.

Uses of Aciphex

Rabeprazole works by blocking acid production in the stomach. This medication is known as a proton pump inhibitor. It is used to treat acid-related stomach/intestinal and throat problems, e.g., acid reflux or GERD, ulcers, erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This medication may also be used in combination with antibiotics to treat certain types of ulcers caused by bacterial infection.

Side Effects of Aciphex

Rabeprazole like other PPIs has few side effects. The most common side effects are

* Diarrhea
* Nausea
* Vomiting
* Constipation
* Rash and headaches.
* Dizziness
* Nervousness
* Abnormal heartbeat
* Muscle pain
* Weakness
* Leg cramps and water retention rarely occur.

Warnings and precautions before taking Aciphex

Aciphex does not work for everyone. Improvement in your symptoms does not prevent you from having other stomach-related medical conditions.

It is not known whether rabeprazole passes into breast milk. Do not take rabeprazole without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor.

Before using this medication, you should tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially if you have severe liver disease, other stomach problems such as tumors.

Before taking rabeprazole, you should tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to similar drugs such as lansoprazole, omeprazole or if you have any other allergies.
