[T61]Tax Credit Hybrid Car
by Karl Sumner, Kar
With the rising price of fuel being as it is, I had to start really thinking about how I could minimize my commuting costs. I was thinking pretty seriously about moving the family closer into where I work, or maybe getting a job that was closer to home. Needless to say, I was pretty desperate to find a solution, or some way of freeing up a bit of the cost of fuel. I was online and came across someone advertising a hydrogen conversion kit for your car. I had heard about this or the possibility of it a few years ago, but at that time it was not available to most people, and was considered highly unlikely to actually work. Although most people are pretty shopper friendly on the internet these days, I am still a little old fashioned when it comes to that, and I have only got a few things over the internet as of yet. So it goes without saying, that I did a bit of research on these "kits" before I even thought of investing. Many of us at the moment are feeling the rising pressure and price of oil, with the price for petrol for our cars, skyrocketing.

I always, always research something, if I decide to break out from my old fashioned ways and actually want to invest in something over the internet. So I did some pretty thorough research on the term hydrogen conversion car kits in Google, and looked at articles, blogs and forum threads on the subject. The feedback seemed pretty good, so I felt safe about it. Feeling like my research had found some positive feedback on, I decided to go out and choose one of the DIY guides and go for it.

I found a good site that did a comparison of all the different guides, there are quite a few, and I chose what was apparently the best one. One of the reasons that I dropped my usually high guard about buying things on the internet, was that the guide came with an 8 week refund, and also really good customer service, who have helped me out considerable since getting the purchasing and using their product. On downloading the ebook guide, I found that it was really laid out quite well, and I thought that the whole process seemed quite simple. I was pretty glad after all that, I must say.

After reading through at more detail, I found that the kit was made out of some pretty basic parts, stuff that most people could get a hold of locally with ease. Some of the parts are things like washers, and tubing which is used to connect the kit to the engine. For most people a lot of the parts that are needed to make this system will be pretty easy to find, you will be pretty certain to find them at a hardware store, or maybe even in your own backyard if you are lucky. Looking at the system from the perspective of someone who is not particularly knowledgable when it comes to DIY stuff, I would have to say that on the most part the kit was pretty easy to put together. There were one or two things that I got a little bit stuck on, but the customer service was really good for the guide that I bought, and they got me through any hiccups pretty via email.

In terms of putting the thing together, I would say that overall it was pretty easy, and I am not exactly a DIY kind of person, my wife would definitely have to agree with you there, lol. The customer support was really good for the product that I bought, despite hearing a bit of bad stuff on the net about it prior to buying the guide. If you are going to install the water car conversion kit, you really need to spend some solid time doing it. Give yourself a full day to just focus entirely on the project and you should be able to get it done. It took me about a full day, including getting the parts and stuff, so if you have them all ready to go, you should do it easily. After spending the entire day setting it up, I must say that I was really excited to get going and see how it worked. I had spent all day toiling away in the garage, and I'll admit, I was a little anxious to see if the thing was actually going to work. Time to test it out.

After starting her up, and giving it a few good revs, I was pretty happy to find that 1, the car was intact and had not blown up with me inside it. And 2, seemed to actually be running quite well, actually sounding really clean and healthy, and not struggling to find power or anything like that that I had feared. I needed to take the car for a real test, and so I decided to head out to the main road and get it up to good speed.

The results from my little test drive, where quite impressive, the car seemed to be running just fine, in fact really good. From using the system since then, I can say that the results still impress me. The car runs great, and I would have to say that it even runs better than it did before. In terms of my fuel costs, I am saving around 50% on fuel costs per week on average, of course that varies, depending how and where I am driving, but add that up over a year, and that is a huge saving. Exactly what I needed.

If I am saving that much per week, you can see how that adds up over time, I think just since I have had the system for a few months now, I have saved around 1200 quid, and If I keep using it, which of course I will, I am going to be saving thousands and thousands of dollars over just the next few years alone. Apart from the great gain of saving money on petrol, there is also the undeniable satisfaction that I get now, knowing that I am doing something that is helping with the current environmental state, which is looking pretty bad to say the least. Also, with the oil situation the way it is, we are going to start running out of resources pretty soon, and this is just going to keep pushing up the cost of fuel. you think its high right now, I bet you that in just a couple of years, it will have skyrocketed even further than it has already. This makes the idea of hydrogen fuel conversion very, very appealing, and I am sure I am not alone when I say that.

German Engineering Brilliance and Elegance fitted with Revolutionary Hybrid Technology, A combination of Style and Performance. Joining the number of Car manufacturers that have been concerned for the growing demand for environment friendly cars, German car manufacturing giant BMW has announced that they too would soon be producing and selling Hybrid cars. Within the next four years, BMW will be providing its own version of the phenomenal and popular hybrid car.
Knowing the many innovations and excellent qualities BMW has contributed to the motor world, we can be sure that this would be another automotive engineering breakthrough that would set the par others would follow.
BMW said that their Hybrid car would run on both Hydrogen and petroleum and this would be first infused in the 7 series BMW. Already, BMW has some of these cars test driven in different countries. Researchers and engineers are already staging some tests and are getting feedbacks to perfect their first hybrid car release. BMW doesn't want to release just a beautiful looking car, they want one that will be truly environment friendly as well as performing beautifully.
Deviating from the usual fuel cells used by other hybrid car manufacturers, BMW decided on using hydrogen-fuel combined with an internal combustion engine. This led to more research and development needed because of the demand of the engine to keep the hydrogen in liquid form, and this poses as a problem in keeping them cold enough to do just that. If the engine becomes too hot, the hydrogen may evaporate requiring frequent fill ups. Another quandary is keeping the hydrogen from evaporating while in transit to the engine. But BMW has said that it has found the solution to this problem.
BMW sees hydrogen as the solution, but it would take about two more decades before a car can actually be run by hydrogen only. But they are positive that this is very achievable.
BMW claims that for the past thirty years, they have been developing technology that could just lead to the first ever pure hydrogen vehicle. They already have a car that is being powered by water, a car that emits water vapor at the tailpipe, and are to retrieve hydrogen from sunlight.
BMW has been focusing on Hydrogen as a great power source for cars because it is the best solution to the ever-worsening emissions from vehicles that contributes to environmental pollution. This is because hydrogen doesn't have dangerous emissions, it poses no harm to the atmosphere, it doesn't deplete natural resources, as it can be take from numerous recyclable sources. This is BMW's solution, powering vehicles with hydrogen produced from water through the use of solar energy. This advancement in technology is evident with the BMW 750hl production car showcased at the Expo 2000. Together with some of its partners, BMW may be behind in the mass production of Hybrid cars, but they are the forefront in Hybrid technology.
Soon enough, we will all be the beneficiaries of all of these developments and innovations. Not only will we able to save up on gas money, we will also be saving the environment. Owning a Hybrid car doesn't have to mean riding in cramped cars with low engine power. With the unveiling of the BMW hybrid car in the near future, you get sophistication, power, elegance and style while helping clean up our air.
