Is the best price always the best answer? We spend so very much of our lives on getting the "best price" on absolutely everything that we can. Take a look at the American economy. We are so worried about saving a nickel on gasoline that we will drive 20 minutes out of our way to save 60 cents! It is insane! Then we sit back and look at the financial problems that our country faces and try to pass the buck to someone else. Its not my concern. It is Washington's responsibility. Well I think it is time that we "WAKE UP" and start to take responsibility for what we are doing to ourselves.

How can we change our economy as individuals? Think close to the heart. While you are thinking close to the heart, think "close to home". It is time to start thinking about more than just our pocket book. If you need gasoline buy it close to home. It keeps the tax dollars in the community. It keeps jobs in the community and aids the building of new businesses close to home. If you build a strong community you will greatly contribute to the economics that improve the areas in which we live. A better school, better law enforcement, better roads, and more jobs, will be created just by each of us buying gas close to home.

The changes that we need to make are very simple. We just have to remove "greed" from the equation. The American people are so quick to judge others, but so quick not to judge ourselves. It is time that we understand that the part we play is important.

Jobs are moving over seas and yet we still buy goods and services that are produced in China and other countries. It goes without saying that there are going to be products that we need to purchase which are produced over seas. There is no choice and we must do what we must do. It does not take much effort to do a little research and buy products that are produced in our own great country, the United States of Amerca.

We need manufacturing in our country. Think of your family members, neighbors, and friends. When you buy goods and services that are produced by the companies that these people work, buy them there. Do not think about it. Just make the purchase. If we do not start to look out for ourselves, who will?

The secret is simple. All you have to do is remove yourself from the equation. When you go to the grocery store, buy close to home. When you need products or services that are produced by someone in your family, buy them there. Example: If you have a relative that works at Ford Motor, buy a Ford. You will more than likely get a discount and the reality is that they are equal to the best quality in the industry.

So think before you shop. Build a strnger America by building a stronger community. The choice is up to you.
