[S1199]Switchfoot Learning To Breath
by The Bowling Coach, The
Bowling alleys have balls and shoes that customers can borrow/rent off the racks. After determining the right shoe size and the weight of the ball to use, it is time to go to the lane and start practicing. It is advisable to get a lane far from other people to avoid distractions.

A lot of people achieve strikes or even spares not because of talent but out of sheer luck. A beginner should not feel discouraged when he can only bring a few pins down or when the ball goes down the gutter since this is perfectly normal. By listening to the instructor and focusing on each shot, the score will gradually improve and be better than those bowlers who have no training.

The bowling ball is a spherical object that has holes to allow the person to get a good grip before releasing it. It involves inserting the player's middle and ring fingers into the holes and there are three ways to do this.

The first is the conventional grip which lets the person put the two fingers in the holes up to the second joint. The second is the finger tip grip which puts the two fingers in the holes until the first joint. The third is called the Sarge-Easter Grip where the two fingers are in one hole but this grip is only used by experienced players.

The conventional and the finger tip grip will usually be introduced by the instructor. The player will then choose which is more comfortable. Players usually take three steps forward before releasing the ball. This makes proper approach and follow through important to be able to hit the pins a few yards away. This can be done by using the arrows, markers and dots to guide the ball to its target.

To become as good as the pros won't happen overnight. It will take a lot of time and practice to do the proper drills in order to get it right. Aside from the instructor, another person that can help is the lane operator. These people are there every day and learning a trick or two can improve one's game.

As natural gas and thus utility rates climb in the United States more and more homeowners and rental property owners are demanding energy efficiency of their home construction and appliances. The home energy inspection industry has become a booming industry and highly competitive. What this means is that there is no better time to consider becoming an energy inspector. Not only would you be in much demand but as competition drives up the need, it will also drive up the energy inspector wages as well.

Some private as well as government agencies now offer certification as an energy inspector. With these organizations you can generally get training to qualify for certification. Many will teach you to conduct energy audits, which can only advance your value as an energy inspector or even utility provider or repair person.

Certification as an energy inspector gives you credibility. It indicates you have experience, you have expertise and you have satisfied customers. With this certification you distinguish yourself from your energy inspector peers, which can create a demand for your services and drive up your fee and or your wages. If your customers and your potential employers know that not only did you train as an energy inspector but that you went to the additional training and trouble to get yourself certified they will know two things about you. They will know that your value to them is high as compared with other energy inspectors, and that your interest in helping homeowners become energy efficient surpasses those inspectors not certified.

The energy inspector certification training course provides each student with a comprehensive understanding of residential energy efficiency. The curriculum is two full days long and very hands on. Each energy inspector will take away from the course a full understanding of how residential dwellings work as an energy unit. They will learn the principles of heat transference and how that has an impact on the homes energy performance. They will learn the correct use of various state of the art equipment for diagnoses of energy efficiencies.

These include duct blasters and blower doors, for example. They willll complete the energy inspector course ready to produce an entire analysis of a homes energy efficiency, including the use of software designed for energy field audits. They will know how to sell their energy inspector field services to real estate agents as well as residential clients. They will also learn about the various rebates provided by utility companies as well as energy improvement financing, incentives on taxes and other assistance in the payment of home energy improvements.

An energy inspector who completes this home audit course can charge a higher per-inspection fee, and can increase the number of home inspections that she or he can complete in any given week thanks to the learned speed and software proficiency. The graduating energy inspector can now market more effectively to real estate agents and brokers and can collaborate with energy efficiency organizations to grow their clientele.
