The beginning of any relationship is easy, but its maintaining it and making it succeed that requires effort. Relationships often fall apart and come to an end, but the worst of it is when the people involved are left hurt and nursing painful wounds. The healing process of a break-up may differ so much depending on different people and the kind of relationship that existed between them. Regardless of how long it takes, one must know how to overcome a break-up.

Unbearable pain and shame are common occurences when a relationship comes to an end. Provided are lessons learned from a veteran.

Face it, you need to come to terms that the relationship is over. You should force yourself to value the absence of your partner even if you feel like denying the situation. Anger follows after the denial once you realize that you are often getting disturbed by this experience just take it positively and try to overcome it. Celebrate even if things appear to be going the wrong way.

You may feel depressed after you go through the denial and anger phase. Everyone feels the pain of rejections, but moving through pain should not push you to depression.

Being in the company of friends whenever possible will leave you spending less of your time alone, and leave you less prone to dwelling on memories of your past relationship. Try to overcome your stress by sharing with your close friend about your life encounter or even seek advice from a chancellor. Expanding your vision and building a healthier self image will be valuable to the way you live your life. I would advice you not to give up on matters of love but give a trial to another relationship. A break up is not a reason enough as to why you should live an unfulfilling life. Difficult times develops lasting character. These steps will help you get over a painful break-up of your relationship.

Do You Really Want To Get Your Ex Back?

At least it will get them thinking a little more about you and even plant thoughts in their mind that perhaps you may be seeing someone else.

What does this do? Well usually, people want what they can't have and if you walk away and agree with the break up, then you've loosened that emotional hold they have over you.

Time For Your Own Assessment

Now is a great time for you to break the shackles and sit down and do some analysis. This is a powerful way of coping with a relationship break up.

You need to analyze the positives and negatives of both your relationship and your ex. List the good points of your union and then make a list of the bad points in your opinion. For this to be effective, you need to be totally honest.

This will again have two benefits. You can see at a glance if there are too many negatives about your ex and relationship to even waste time trying to get back and it will continue to ease the emotional stress you're experiencing because you are facing it head on.

The whole idea of this process is about getting you to feel good about yourself and that you're okay. Until you begin to feel good about yourself, then the way you feel will express itself in physical form and it's unattractive not just to other people but also your ex.
