Sometimes it's a single Mom or Dad that simply want to be there for his or her children as much as possible. Other times mom may want to stay at home create some additional income, while her husband continues working a traditional job.

Are there opportunities out there for stay at home parents looking to work from home? Yes!

In doing my research I found programs in the following fields:

* Rebate Processing

* Type At Home

* Data Entry

* Online Paid Surveys

* At Home Phone Jobs

I found many more job types, but the above program types are the most popular among stay at home parents. There are a few decisions that you need to make before jumping into one of these programs. I have listed a few of these areas below:

* Do you want to create an Online Home Based Business or simple create some additional income?

* What types of income goals do you have?

* How much time do you have to spend working from home?

* Which type of program do you feel meets your skill sets?

* Which type of program do you feel most comfortable with?

It's important to ask yourselves these questions and more so that you choose the best possible program for you. Once you have answered these questions you will then need to research the hundreds of programs on the Internet. It is very important not to simply jump into any program that promises you the world without doing the necessary research. You can either do the research yourself or use a web site like mine, but not necessarily mine, but the work needs to be done. You can do it yourself but it will take a lot of time.

Once you have chosen the program type and performed the research, I would suggest narrowing down to 2-3 programs. I have found that many people seem to prefer starting 2-3 programs, thereby creating multiple income streams.

This helps get some money coming in and you can later focus on the ones you enjoy most. Often time's folks that have decided to create an Online Home Based Business will work other programs to create the additional income and fund their online business. It does take longer to create an online web business, but you should make more money in the long run. Others don't want a business, but they want income from multiple sources. That's the beauty of it. You make the decision. You are your own boss!

You may be thinking that joining 2 - 3 work at home programs sounds expensive. The cost is minimal and the possibilities are great. I think you will find that you can start up 2-3 of these programs for the cost of going out to dinner with someone once or twice at a nice restaurant. It really is quite surprising what is available to us utilizing the tremendous growth of the Internet.

You love your job as a parent, but you just are looking for something else you can do at the same time. There are a lot of ways you can make money and be a stay at home parent these days. The easiest way is to go online.

When you surf the internet, in search of a marketing opportunity, you feel as if it sounds interesting to do, and would be something you are good at, then check it out. I have found out it does not pay you to make a decision quickly. There are so many money making opportunities out there, you certainly have a wide variety to choose from.

Regardless of your work experience and history, there is a job available online that you could use to make money and be a stay at home parent. The great part about it is that you will be your own boss, so you decide when and how often you work.

If you need to take the morning off to take your little one to the doctor, you do not have to ask anyone's permission. If you only want to work during the nap hours, you can do that. Because it is your business, you are in charge of how much you work and how much money you make.

If you are not satisfied with the results, then start something on your own. Maybe you have a great hobby, that you can turn it around, and reap a good income from that. You would receive all the credit as well.

One of the reasons why parents look into at home jobs is because they want to feel as if they are contributing to the working world. You are doing a great job raising your child, you just want to do something on the side that you feel is contributing.

Online you can make money and be a stay at home parent. The great thing about working online is that you can take it on full time once your child reaches school age if that is what you want to do. There is no obligation to stay on either. You literally can do whatever you want.

Because there are so many different jobs online that can be done from home, it is easier than ever to make money and be a stay at home parent. This was not possible before the Internet because the parents could not leave the home. Unless you babysat other people's children, you could not make money.

Now all you have to do is go online and find something you like and you are good to go. This will even make it easier if you decide to get back into the workforce later. Good luck in you finding a work-at-home opportunity.
