I have been working in a factory most of my life and I know that I am getting on in years. So I decided to go back to college and learn a new trade that would allow me to make a living outside a factory. After all, I am not as young as I used to be and I needed to have an option. So I took out some loans and went to college full-time to learn about computers.
Then I went out into the real world to find work and I was not making as much as I was in the factory. I know I will make more later, but starting out is really hard and the bills are starting to pile up. I am working hard and so is my wife and we are just not making ends meet. We are getting late notices and my loans are now getting in arrears.
This debt load is getting to us and it is become a burden on our family. The debt collectors are calling and we want to hide from the phone. The late notices just keep coming and a friend suggests that we need debt help. We look at him and ask what he means by debt help, is he willing to pay some of our bills? Of course not but he began to explain about debt management help that is available.
We sort advice from our local citizens advice and found a debt management company and began talking to their advisors. They were very understanding about all the stress and pressure we were under. Together we worked out a plan that made it easy for us to get caught up on our bills. We consolidated all our loans to start with.
This allowed us to save a lot of money from what we had been paying out each month. The money we saved each month made it easier for us to get our bills paid on time. Getting our bills paid on time saved us more money because of all the extra fees we were not paying out to others. This made it possible for us to get caught up and begin paying off our debt instead of only going deeper into debt.
The debt management advisors gave us the help we needed to be able to take control of our lives again. Now I am making more money in my new career and our debt is far lower than it was before. We can now enjoy the benefits that come with the increase in the money that I have coming in. Just remember that if you are feeling stressed out and depressed because of your finances, there is debt help available.
So many people dream about starting a successful home based business as they sit in endless traffic jams or take in the vastness of their office cubicle, knowing they want something more for themselves than the the rat race and the daily grind of unfulfilling jobs. Part of the dream of a work from home internet business is that they can implement their ideas and enjoy some control in their life and livelihood.
Beginning your entrepreneurial pursuits from a home office does have some unique benefits. First, the overhead can be next to nothing if you can operate out of a spare room or the garage. With a decent computer and a high speed internet connection you have access to virtually the very same business tools that large corporations use, and many of these tools are free or very low cost, especially at the level you will need them while you are getting started.
And, as a work from home entrepreneur you also have a big advantage when it comes to the tax breaks and tax incentives that you can make use of that are available to you the minute you make it official that you have started your home based business.
When people are starting their new work from home opportunity, there are two primary routes for getting started. The first route, and most recommended, is to start your new venture as a sideline to your regular job, working in the needed activities in your evenings and weekends. This allows you to enjoy a continuation of the income you are accustomed to while at the same time being able to get through the learning curve (and there always is one) without the pressure of having to meet you monthly obligations from income generated by you fledgling business.
This also allows you to reinvest your business income at first which would help you to continue to grow your business at a point when others may be pulling back to meet those monthly expenses. At the same time, if things don't go as you had hoped you can easily stop your home business endeavors until you have a chance to either find a different business opportunity or until you can learn what needs to be done better, but in the meanwhile you still have the salary and benefits of your job.
The second route for starting your home based business is to go all-in and leave behind the job. For some people, this is the only option that is acceptable to them, either because of impatience or because they desire to be fully committed to their new enterprise. In this situation, it is highly recommended that you have enough capital set aside to get you through several months of both living expenses and business overhead. The worst thing you can do it to be overzealous in your attempt to start your new business and have to end it before it really got started because of shortsightedness and bad planning, both strategically and financially.
Some of the key elements that should be firmly in place before resigning to start your new business, at a bare minimum, are: an understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting, basic skills to build a simple website for your new business, carefully writing your business plan, and, of course, deciding upon the type of business venture you are going to start.
While it can be a real rush of excitement when you are in the midst of kicking off your new home based business, it is important to keep the dedication to your business and treat it like a bona fide enterprise, and not allow it to languish and fall into the category of just a hobby.
