[S1030]Stop My Dog From Barking
by Harold K Lee, Har
It's been long couple of years in real estate, the last two. Although fears of a systemic crash have somewhat abated, we're far from out of the woods. The Housing Rescue Bill (July 2008) must have generated at least some degree of guarded optimism. Already, National Association of Realtors reported pending home sales nationally rose 5.3 percent from May to June (Aug 7 2008, St. Louis Business Journal).

It's one thing to line up all this assistance, it's quite yet another whether those people in need can reach it or not. A startling one-third of Americans polled literally have no idea how much money they owe. The average American also scored only a D-grade in a survey on financial literacy. We were quick to jump onto the bandwagon of owning a home so now we better buck up on how to defend it when the situation gets rough.

How to stop foreclosure is always a major undertaking and it can be accomplished through various ways most common of which are refinancing, forbearance, loan restructuring, supplementary loan and shortfall forgiveness. Where giving up the home cannot be helped, deed-in-lieu, pre-foreclosure and short sale are ways to avert foreclosure which harms the credit score, not to mention incurring penalties and legal costs.

With the right information and knowledge, the task of stopping foreclosure is not as daunting as it's made out to be. Take well-thought out but expeditious action. The most successful approach can be generically outlined as follows: -Study the true financial situation -Evaluate all possibilities and options -Steer clear of scams -Get professional or certified help -Stay positive and persevere

Foreclosures hurt the lenders and authorities as much as they do the homeowners these days. Given the housing crisis, financial malaise and faltering economy, we can be sure that they would go out of their way to help stop foreclosure. Put bluntly, foreclosure is the knife-edge between an asset and liability insofar as houses are concerned and the last thing that's needed now is another one crossing over into the heap.

All sorts of information and help agencies have mushroomed everywhere, not least the internet. Public information and assistance websites, real-estate brokers, banks and other lending institutions, investors and capitalists, attorneys and consultants and guides and handbooks can be found in abundance online, all possible solutions to how to stop foreclosure. Then, there are also loads of scams and crooks so watch out, you don't want to be burnt further!

After my husband told me that I was a noisy sleeper, I immediately wanted to stop my snoring. Ladies aren't supposed to snore, and I was embarrassed to find out that I was keeping him up at night with the manly sounds coming out of my throat. I started looking into the different ways I could remedy the situation, and I was astounded at some of the information I found on the internet. For example, sometimes the only thing that works for people is a device called a mandibular advancement splint. Not only does it sound scary, the price is downright horrific. These things are custom made by dentists and can cost as much as $3,000.

Immediately, I ruled out the mandibular advancement splint as something I was going to invest my money in to stop my snoring. When it comes to dealing with my snoring or forking over two house payments to put an end to it, my husband would much rather wear ear plugs. I saw that one of the easiest and most affordable ways to stop snoring is to simply roll over and sleep on your side. Since I sleep on my side anyway, I realized this wasn't going to be a viable option for me. I also saw that some people suggested using a humidifier to put moisture into the air, but dry air isn't a problem in my house.

I was starting to get more and more frustrated with the different suggestions that people had to stop my snoring. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but I don't think that my neck is so fat that the excess weight was putting pressure on my throat and causing my snoring. I've never smoked a cigarette in my entire life, so quitting smoking wasn't going to put an end to my husband's misery. I was just about to give up, when I walked by a display at my grocery store that featured nose strips. I bought a box, tried out the product and immediately my snoring stopped. So now when people tell me they're having problems with snoring, I point them in that direction first!
