[T580]The Magic In You
by Cheyenne Black, Che
Gnomes live behind waterfalls. Fairies dance in my garden. In my dreams I’m a fairy named Blue. That flash of light was a glimpse of Faery magic.

It’s so easy today to find kids who know all about “reality". They know that in “reality" people backstab and connive their way to millions in prizes. They know that in “reality" people have habits and ideals that would make the Adams’ look like the Cleavers.

Sadly these days it also seems that their “reality" also lacks the magic, wonder, and enchantment that we took for granted just twenty short years ago. Though as of yet they haven’t done the research to back me up on this, I truly believe that these things contribute in large part to many of the ailments that currently weigh down our young people today.

From an overwhelming trend toward violence to the soaring stress rates of even very young kids, it’s very clear that something is incredibly wrong. Bringing children intentionally toward magic and the wonder around them can only have a positive impact on these things, and in fact in my experience, in my REALITY significantly reduces or even eliminates them.

By connecting through their hearts, bringing a child’s focus back toward their imagination, helping them to connect to the amazing things that are happening around them at a minute level, magic helps them to engage in their world and to deeply experience interrelatedness.

To help a child to reconnect to their inner sense of magic, begin by exploring, hunting for, and actively seeking the signs. They are all around you, under the leaf on the ground, hiding between the flower stems, peeking out from the meadows edge.

Begin to notice the wonderment that is all around you. Make the conscious choice to be enchanted. Take the hand of a child and whisper “Let me show you something amazing!" Dream, share, uplift, imagine what might be.

Build a fairy house, craft some fairy wings, sip some nectar and sing a fairy rhyme. Call them into your house, invite them to share your meals, and thank them for their blessings in your garden.

Fairies are real. Perhaps you have been so thoroughly soaked in “reality" that you’ve blocked out their existence and prefer instead to think about much more “important" things, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are still there, waiting for you to notice them again.

As you well know, everything in life is a choice. Have you ever asked yourself what you gain by choosing to believe that magic isn’t real? I guarantee you that it is far less than what you will gain if you will open yourself again to the possibilities around you.
It is one of the worlds great tragedies when you tell a child they must color inside the lines, bear the burden of a label, or stop believing the wonder that they so clearly see. It is not the fault of the child that this should befall them however, only the sad reality.

Children will mimic and follow wherever you lead them, it’s their instinct. You can choose where you want to lead the people, young and old, who will follow your lead. Will you lead them to joy and magic, or to today’s “reality"?

When you connect yourself, or help someone else to connect to the possibilities and magic that exists in the world out there, it is much more plausible to experience the enchantment and wonder that resides within.

The Magic Shower is how I refer to my shower every morning.

This is simply because it is the place were I become totally relaxed and start to bring to mind how I would like to feel, act, and achieve for the day.

Some people may call this a trigger or a place that you have deliberately set up so you can check in with yourself on a daily basis.

Which by the way, is the most important thing you could ever start doing to help you stay on track with your life.

It is also awesome for those of you who still believe in the time thief fairy because you can do two things at once.

This morning while in the magic shower, I started mentally rehearsing -seeing myself presenting the Keep fit and Healthy in Body and Mind one of our seminars that we run.

While doing this, I felt so energized and excited about how I get to do what I truly love in life and acknowledging how proud I was of myself for doing the work to get their, that I started to cry.

The reason I started crying was out of total JOY and excitement.

Why? Because I was allowing myself to feel 100% passionate and deserving of what I truly want from my life.

The amazing breakthrough though came right after I finished crying. It was then that I realised, that I was no longer holding myself ransom to my past experiences.

What I mean by this is, I no longer felt like my old beliefs about myself were true anymore.

I had actually made the transition from knowing it in theory, to knowing it in my heart. I guess that's why they say, from your head to your heart is the longest journey of all.

But It was another example for me, that if you are gentle with yourself, patient with yourself, while consistently working on yourself, change will happen.

If we try and force things to change or expect to have a quick "fix over night", you will not make any real lasting changes.

Ask yourself this question.

If you wanted to live on the land and become a farmer, would you just go out & plant one lot of crops or work just one day and expect to see the rewards forever?

Your life is like a Farm and you are the Farmer. You are going to have to plant seeds daily while being consistent, courageous, patient and enjoying the process to reap the rewards.

Lesson For The Week

If you want your life to change, but keep doing the same old, same old, you will be consistently living in a state of disappointment.

Action For The Week.

Make the effort today to find 10 mins to sit-down and write some small promises that you have been avoiding to do. These are the things that you know are fundamental to making the changes in your life.
