The Noble Quran:

Chapter 39 in the Noble Quran is composed of 69 verses.
Verses from 1-5 are talking about 1) The revealed Quran is an address from your Lord, 2) What was the Historical Philosophy of idols?, 3) Allah does not guide those…, 4) What if the LORD wanted to take a son? And 5) The Quran is the first book that says the Earth is a ball like!
------------

The verses from 1-5:

[1] The revelation of this book is from Allah, the exalted in power, full of wisdom.
[2] Lo! We have revealed the book unto thee (Muhammad) with truth; so worship Allah, making religion pure for him only (serve Allah, offering him sincere devotion).
[3] Surely pure religion and sincere obedience is for Allah only. and (as for) those who take guardians besides him, (saying), we do not serve them save that they may make us nearer to Allah, surely Allah will judge between them in that in which they differ; surely Allah does not guide him aright who is a liar, ungrateful
[4] If Allah desires to take a son to himself, he will surely choose those he pleases from what he has created. Glory be to him: he is Allah, the one, the conqueror, the absolute, the irresistible.
[5] He created the heavens and the earth in truth, he makes the night cover the day (in a ball like) and makes the day overtake the night (in a ball like), and he has made the sun and the moon subservient; each one runs on to an assigned term; (in a ball like) Is he not the almighty, the great forgiver?
------------

The interpretation of the verses 1-5:

The revealed Quran is an address from your Lord

1) The revelation of the Book, the Quran is an address from Allah,
The Mighty in retribution against those who disbelieve in Him,
The Wise in His command and decree;
He commanded that none should be worshipped except Him.

2) Allah has revealed the Book with the truth not with falsehood;
So worship Allah,
Devoting your religion purely to Him,
In other words, affirming His Oneness and making the profession of Allah's divine Oneness sincere to Him.
------------

To Allah belongs pure religion
What was the Historical Philosophy of idols?
Allah does not guide those to his religion

3) To Allah belongs pure religion,
None other than Him being deserving of it
And those who take besides Him, the idols as patrons, they say: ‘We only worship them so that they may bring us near to God’.
God will indeed judge between them, and the Muslims, concerning that about which they differ, of religion,
And so admit the believers into Paradise, and the disbelievers into the Fire.
Truly Allah does not guide to his religion one who is a liar, attributing a child to Him, a disbeliever, worshipping other than God and the Arab idolaters.
------------

What if the LORD wanted to take a son?

4) Had the LORD wanted to take a son?
If Allah had willed to choose a son as they allege that He has,
‘He could have chosen from what He has created whatever He willed, and taken it as a child, instead of the angels whom they claim to be God’s daughters, or their claim that ‘Jesus is the son of God’.
Glory be to Him, in exaltation of Him as being above that He should take a child. He is God, the One, the All-Compelling, over all His creatures.
------------

The Quran is the first book that says the Earth is a ball like!

5) He has created the heavens and the earth with truth not in vain.
He makes the night cover the day (in a ball like) and makes the day overtake the night (in a ball like), and He makes the sun and moon subservient; (Each) i.e. the sun and the moon, the day and night (running on for an appointed term) for an appointed time.
He is the Mighty in retribution against those who disbelieve in Him, the Forgiver of those who believe in Him.

The root of the Arabic verb "cover" the day in a ball like is "Kawwara"; it means cover in a ball like. This means that half of the earth is night, and the other half is day.
In other word, it means that the earth is a ball like!
It follows that the Quran is the first book on the earth which said that the Earth is a ball like!
