[T229]The Back To Life
by Mark Clarkson, Mar
This kind of situation could happen to anyone especially during times when you may have forgotten to turn off some of your Toyota car parts and the other accessories of your vehicle like the lights. When you do this, the stored charge from the battery is used up leaving no more power to start your vehicle up.

You may think that jumper cables might be the answer to this problem. However, what if you do get caught in such a situation without any cars with charged batteries nearby?

You actually still could start up your vehicle without the use of jumper cables. In fact, there is one proven yet very simple way of starting up a car with a dead battery. The answer? Pushing your car back to life. Keep in mind, though, that you can only push your car to let it start if and only if your car has a stick shift or employs the use of a manual transmission. You can start up your car if the problem is the battery or the starter.

To do this trick, you should ask for assistance from another person because two people would be actually needed. One would have to sit in the driver's seat while the other person would be doing the pushing.

Before you start to push the car back to life, you should turn off all of the accessories in your vehicle like the radio, wipers, air conditioning, and lights. After doing such, you can start pushing the vehicle. The person should put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position. Start depressing the clutch pedal and then put the transmission in the first gear or the second gear. Then release the hand brake and the foot brake and then you can now release the clutch pedal. During this time, give the engine a little gas once your car is moving. You should get the engine started.

In 1995 Bugatti filed for bankruptcy as the market for supercars had slowed down. In the end of the 1990's Volkswagen purchased the rights to use the Bugatti name and brought the company back to life. The Volkswagen group unveiled the Bugatti EB 218 at the Geneva Motor Show in 1999. The 218 was produced after the 118 model, which was first shown at the Paris Motor Show a year earlier in 1998. Giorgetto Giugiaro, under contract with Volkswagen, designed both the 118 and 218 models. The 218 is a classy and stylish car that has a distinct look and high performance capabilities.

The 218 is a modern design yet it draws from the classic models from the Bugatti line. The result of this mix of classic and modern design gives the 218 a very individual look while also a perfect mix of power and elegance in this premier car.

The outer frame on the 218 comes from state of the art space technology constructed from aluminum and the finish is "Blu Notte Perlato" The sexy and dynamic look of the 218 is accentuated by the luxurious interior of the car. The instruments in the cabin are oval shaped and the instrument panel is entirely fitted with fine leather. What adds to the luxury and classy look is the use of light walnut and a special silk leather finish. The 218 has a navigational system is that is hidden, when not being used, beneath the clock. Changing gears on the 218 is very easy as it features buttons on the steering wheel for the sequential transmission. The cabin is extremely roomy and comfortably seats four persons. All the seats are finished in leather and for added comfort there are footrests.

The 218 features a permanent 4-wheel drive and has an aluminum multi-link suspension that allows for the car to have superior traction and handling abilities. Despite the elegant look of the 218 it has a sense of sportiness as well by the wide track and long wheelbase and a short body overhang. The tires are a distinct and great looking addition to this powerful car as the 218 features 285/50 in the front and 285/18 in the rear. The 218 features a rear-hidden spoiler that livens up when the car accelerates to higher speeds as this gives the car stability and downforce.

The engine on the 218 is developed by Volkswagen and it is full of power featuring three rows of 18 cylinder banks that join together in a "W" Shape. The engine has a displacement of 6.3 liters producing a massive 547 horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 in only 4.5 seconds. The 218 features a direct injection engine that produces an output of 408 kW and maximum torque of 650 Newton meters.

The Bugatti EB 218 is one of the more stylish automobiles in the Bugatti line. The exquisite interior is pure class and the performance capabilities are excellent for such an attractive and distinct automobile.
