4. Cut out the junk food. Go through your refrigerator, cupboards, and pantries and throw out all of the junk food. Toss anything with a high fat content, and that means candy, cookies, potato chips and related munchies that are actually making you gain weight.

5. Replace the junk food with fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Apples, bananas, oranges, and berries are good for you, and they are perfect treats when you feel like snacking. Fresh vegetables are also wonderful for you. I have learned to fill a bowl with summer squash, zucchini, carrots, and almonds. It's my perfect lunch, and I never feel hungry afterwards.
