[B23]Baby Names And What They Mean
by Chris Channing, Chr
One of the joys of becoming a parent is naming the baby once it is born. But unbeknown to many parents is the fact that simply choosing a name for a baby can have more profound benefits or drawbacks than they might have previously though. Indeed, baby names have more power in dictating how a baby grows up than one may think.

Kabalarian philosophy is one that, in a nutshell, describes the fact that choosing a baby name can have adverse effects on the baby in question. For instance, those named "Jack" will be statistically different from those named "Jerry." Although this seems like strange fiction, Kabalarians do indeed believe this to be true.

Kabalarian philosophies can be read via books or through the Internet- although the Internet is a much easier resource in which to find different types of names and personalities all in one place. Thus, parents should consult Internet resources first if they are looking to obtain a baby name based on their personality types or other factors. Otherwise, a simple baby book from a supermarket can help give parents ideas.

Although picking a baby name in order to influence the baby's life may sound odd, the practice goes back centuries into the history of mankind. Numerology, for example, is the act of using birth dates and other numbers that are associated with one's life to determine how they will ultimately act on average or behave.

It is interesting to note that some small differences in names can mean all the difference in the resulting personality. Shortening the name "Zachary" to "Zac" will, by Kabalarian philosophy, give the baby much more of an outgoing personality. In this case, even naming a baby a certain name might not turn out the way you had expected- as the baby may shorten the name or accept a nickname instead.

Putting too much thought into a baby name isn't necessary, however. Parents will generally decide on a name based on their relatives, their influences or heroes, and whatever has made a positive impact on their own lives. Thus, the process of picking a baby name and consulting the Internet or baby name books is usually to get an idea- not always to necessarily alter your baby's history. It's possible, but not as common- and ultimately a parent should choose what they feel is best instead of what a book tells them is best.

In Conclusion

Picking a baby name can be a very tough decision indeed. Not only do parents need to both agree on a name, but there are so many names to agree and disagree upon. In the end, one shouldn't have to pay much attention to what the Kabalarian philosophy dictates- simply have fun when naming your baby- as it is truly one of the most exciting experiences in obtaining a baby.
